This movie hit me hard...I lost my older brother in 2006 he is missing.... He's on NamUs and national missing persons list...we've had no funeral. No closure. No word from him. No contact of any type. Nothing. Even with all the detectives on his case, FBI and how close of a family we were. Be thankful for family but also be thankful for just having the privilege of attending a funeral.

There's hope and yearning in "the sound between the notes" as Debussy would say. It's stunning. I'm going to make it my alarm clock because it's so rich and gorgeous. Most songs don't know how to be gorgeous, I don't think they're composed with that intention. This song fit the movie/was the backbone of the journey.
I agree 100% about making this song the "adoption song". Perhaps that would bring awareness to such beautiful cause. There are millions of children out there in need of a permanent place to call home where they can receive love and affection. I hope your adoption turned out to be one such example.
Honestly it turned out okay. I was adopted into an Italian family, the woman who adopted me had her complications and tried but didn't try her hardest in my opinion. Adoption can also lead to abuse like any other dynamic. I was sexually abused by a relative and I don't talk to anyone in the family I was adopted into because I was/a, treated like the black sheep. But they're horrible people and I adopted my own family. LION is a beautiful story but its clear in the movie that the children are being sold and used in trafficking and abuse too. Adoption is a great cause but parenting is difficult and its human nature to want to know your etymology.

I think of him on the train for days on end, then lost amongst so many people and when he realises he IS 'lost' (when he's much older). And to think...it's true. Lord, may we spread nothing but love as humans.

(This movie was very surreal for me to watch since he was adopted out of Calcutta the year I was born in Calcutta. Very strange how the world is so small but vast when you're searching)
I never had to really think about Adoption- until this issue. Went and saw it again, last nite with a friend. It was just as heartbreaking the second time. I can't imaging the # of children displaced each Year in India alone, and makes me physically sick to think some of these kids could face not only starvation, anxiety, weather, loneliness, but real danger is so many other ways. If I was younger - think this movie would have lead me to consider adoption. Hope your Life has worked out for good - over the years for you... Cheers
