Man, there's no way a head judge said that you have priority to summon a extra deck monster before quick and trigger effects after sets a monster lol
Is true setting a monster doesn't open windows and you still have priority

@@alessandropalmigiano4133 that's not how that works lol, if you set a monster, you have prio to activate a quick effect before your opponent, for example you can set albaz and immediately chain super poly. But if you set albaz and have no quick effects then your opponent is allowed to activate their own quick effect if they have any.
@@ntheassasin9894 The exact ruling is "Actions that don't start a chain include setting a card or summoning a monster, in which the turn player preserves their priority to activate an effect. In the first case, the turn player can take virtually any legal action first. They can summon a monster, activate a card effect, or change a monster's battle position."
So yes, he could've contact fused after setting albaz OR summoning albaz and NOT declaring effect, and opponent cannot d barrier
@@jalvalin my friend that's just wrong, you said has priority over an effect, contact fuse is not an effect. So you're telling me i can normal summon a monster (ie black metal dragon) and just link it off. Which is just not true
