I think that because Balmoral is a holiday home when the family have left there will be cleaners , gardeners , kitchen staff and laundry staff making sure everything is ready for the next holiday . What happens to them after that I’m not sure , it’s possible their services are required in other homes

I guess that crown property belongs to the government and private properties, to the members of the royal family.
Maintenance of these properties must be costing a pretty penny for both the government and the royal family.

George V Liked a cozier home so he chose to live at Sandringham full time. Queen Mary HATED it. She thought it was too stuffy, dark, and small for her. She also didn't think it was "royal" enough. She didn't get to move into a palace until after he died.

The reason why I didnt comment like you just said was I will have all those who are mesmerised by it on my case to say that Im jealous...but Im not!! Im not materialistic and have visited many homes that look like palaces but its full of emptiness..no life..no joy..no money to pay their expenses ..no love. Many of these people are not hospitable. Yes the palaces are beautiful I only watched the video at the beginning as I was busy typing. I live a simplistic life and will give my last cent to the needy and feel blessed.
Honestly I can't imagine myself living in those very wide big and huge castle having four or five rooms house is more than enough to stay with sorrounding beautiful gardens and there is no need for guards, freedom is more precious than having lots of money and tons of material possesions...anyway life of the ROYALS are different than being a simple contented mother and a woman born free from the mountain . Balmoral seems to be cozier, cuter inside but I wish they had shown more Interiors actually on all of them
Unfortunately, not all the rooms are so elegant. Traditionally only State Rooms are elegant where private rooms are more simple.

The history behind the castles is awesome. Looking back and thinking about not just the royal family but the builders, gardeners, artists, weavers and professions I may not even be aware of hundreds of years later makes me want to dig deeper into history.

Maintaining these are unimaginable.
I wonder how many times the children got lost in those places.. I went to visit Nueschwanstein castle in Germany and I got lost in one of my favored room. THE KITCHEN.
I wished I could have stayed but they came and look for me and my dream of being in a castle was over very quick..😂🤣😂 The video is absolutely stunning and I never got rid of the idea that someday I will be lucky enough to be in a castle even if it's only for a week.. Thank you for the video.. 👍👍👍

Not only are the queen's homes lavish BUT they have kitchen run like %-star restaurants.
4 of those 6 are owned by the people. Only Balmorsl and Sandringham are owned by whoever sits on the Throne, which is currently The Queen.
