Grrrrl do Babymetal live at Sonisphere. It's from 2014, they were at a huge metal festival in the UK and got shuffled to the main stage. They won over a huge crowd of hard-core metal heads, and it is amazing!!!
I only wish they would say the name of the song more often. It's so hard to remember the name of it. 🤣🤣 This song is so hype live it can even get a sedentary old fart like me jumping.
Their live show coordinator must be a Lord of the Rings fan. He uses text that looks like the (elvish) writing on the Ring of Power. And the live performance of 'In the Name Of' at Legend S was so LoTR. Even the song itself. But yeah had the same writing in flame in PaPaYa too :) very cool.
They shipped this stage in for the LA Forum show that I was lucky enough to see. When they got back to Japan they unveiled a new stage. I'm hoping this older one is in storage in the US waiting for their return.
Since you seem to enjoy BabyMetal, I will tell you based on my experience how their Block-strategy works. Their official MV are usually pretty safe, with the exception of "Megitsune", "Gimme Chocolate", "Karate", "Road of Resistance" live in Japan, "No Rain No Rainbow" live at Legend S, "The One - Stairway to Living Legends" who are NOT safe, and lately get blocked. Their festival performances are usually safe, and the good ones are "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" at Sonisphere 2014, "Karate" at Download 2016 and "Distortion" at Download 2018. Any live performance from 2014 or earlier is pretty safe, and the 2 best shows to look songs from are "Legend 1997" in 2013 and "Budokan" from 2014. Anything from 2015 or later live usually gets blocked. If you get any video blocked and you want to try to upload it again, you can try to put a transparent logo over the video, or play a bit with the video Opacity... It usually works! There is also a channel named Babymetal Reactor Resource with links to good live performances with already a logo on top, that makes them usually safe to react to. Since noone already mentioned it, I will add that F.Hero is a well known Thai rapper, and all his part was in Thai, and to his team suggestion Babymetal added some Thai typical instruments during his part. The song is just a festival song "Matsurida" means "It's a festival", and it's about a Papaya spicy salad, that can spice up your life :D If you want some really cute dance and want to see how it all started, you could watch their first 2 MV they ever released: "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine" I assure you some cuteness overload :D

Over 11 years for Babymetal and their lead singer Su had an extensive career before that. I don't know if you're interested in the background details but there is all kind of video of Suzuka Nakamoto even well before Babymetal. Just type in Suzuka Nakamoto in the search on youtube and you'll find all sorts of stuff. There is video of her singing at the Acting School of Hiroshima (ASH) from age 8 to about 13. She was in a 3 girl trio at age 10-11 'Karen Girls' there is a lot of video of her with Karen Girls. Even more stuff than that, she was a model and appeared in a musical play.

I wasn't aware of him before this collaboration, but F.HERO is a well known rapper in Thailand. His rap was all in Thai. This was a suggestion from the folks who were working on F.HERO's recording in Thailand along with BABYMETAL's producer Koba.

Yeah, this one is a good representation of their style in recent years. If you want to see their earlier style (which had significantly more jpop influence, for better or for worse depending on your opinion of jpop), you want probably iine or perhaps the original Dokidoki Morning. If you want to see some other Japanese metal bands, I can highly recommend Yousei Teikoku.
Nice reaction. Babymetal has finally put the myth of you can't dance to metal to bed. This is from their 3rd album and they have a few guess artist on it. There's a lot of something new on the 3rd album. Metal Galaxy has got some of their smoothest genre blends. Babymetal has been pure joy for me over the years. But when covid hit the world. Depressing to say the least. Babymetal was there to save the day. It's hard to stay down after a pump you up song like that. If you know anyone who is feeling down. Do them the favor and introduce them to Babymetal. Many folks will tell you how talented Su and Moa are. And they worked hard to get the skills to go along with it. But their ability to inspire and bring hope and joy is a God given ability that makes them extra special. Su said years ago she wanted to get more girls into metal. It may just be me but I think she's achieved it. I also think Babymetal has gotten producers more interested in female rockers in general. If there's money to be made that's where they will go. Babymetal has proven again that there is a lot of money to be made there. And now the list of female metal bands seems to be growing all the time. And they're really good bands too. Fun times ahead. My only concern about Babymetal is that is one of those bands that won’t be there forever. Unless they evolve somehow. I don’t see Su-metal and the girls wearing tutus and skirts and doing choreography in their 40s… or later.
That's something I think about too. I wonder whether eventually 3 new girls will be introduced in a new incarnation, a rebirth if you like. The main singer would have to be at Su's extraordinary level, a rare singing and acting talent. You could imagine a transition period where Su, Moa and Momo still participate, the First Take videos don't call for athletic ability and we know that some beautiful songs are performed with minimal choreography (No rain No rainbow) . I'm probably way out with my thinking but the story has evolved with amazing imagination so I'll keep faith with that brilliance. Over 11 years for Babymetal and their lead singer Su had an extensive career before that. I don't know if you're interested in the background details but there is all kind of video of Suzuka Nakamoto even well before Babymetal. Just type in Suzuka Nakamoto in the search on youtube and you'll find all sorts of stuff. There is video of her singing at the Acting School of Hiroshima (ASH) from age 8 to about 13. She was in a 3 girl trio at age 10-11 'Karen Girls' there is a lot of video of her with Karen Girls. Even more stuff than that, she was a model and appeared in a musical play.

This was the second of two concerts at Yokohama Arena in late June of 2019.
So everyone knew to bring a towel, or to get one from the merch stand.
The song had it's world debut the previous night, which was also their first show that year.
'PA PA YA!!' is a Summer festival party song. Matsuri Da! (It's a festival!)
I wasn't aware of him before this collaboration, but F.HERO is a well known rapper in Thailand.
His rap was all in Thai.
The lyrics in the rap section mention Som Tam (spicy Thai papaya salad) and they incorporated some traditional Thai instruments during that part of the song.
This was a suggestion from the folks who were working on F.HERO's recording in Thailand along with BABYMETAL's producer Koba.

Going forward, if reactors want to keep reacting to the videos, I've come up with a solution that will make it possible to continue using the videos with logos that have already been tested against blocks.

In addition, BM performed 2 times in Detroit (2016 / 2019) which is very close to your city. In 2019-2020 US / Europe tour, BM performed 37 times at different venues and they played this song in each and every show. "Pa Pa Ya" is one of new BM's weapons that make audience in the world excited (They were already excited even before the opening though 😄). This year, they carefully restarted their activities and completed 10 concerts here in Tokyo taking very strict countermeasures against infection. Please explore BABYMETAL more.
Yeah, this one is a good representation of their style in recent years. If you want to see their earlier style (which had significantly more jpop influence, for better or for worse depending on your opinion of jpop), you want probably iine or perhaps the original Dokidoki Morning.
If you want to see some other Japanese metal bands, I can highly recommend Yousei Teikoku.

Nice reaction. Babymetal has finally put the myth of you can't dance to metal to bed. This is from their 3rd album and they have a few guess artist on it. There's a lot of something new on the 3rd album. Metal Galaxy has got some of their smoothest genre blends. Babymetal has been pure joy for me over the years. But when covid hit the world. Depressing to say the least. Babymetal was there to save the day. It's hard to stay down after a pump you up song like that. If you know anyone who is feeling down. Do them the favor and introduce them to Babymetal. Many folks will tell you how talented Su and Moa are. And they worked hard to get the skills to go along with it. But their ability to inspire and bring hope and joy is a God given ability that makes them extra special. Su said years ago she wanted to get more girls into metal. It may just be me but I think she's achieved it. I also think Babymetal has gotten producers more interested in female rockers in general. If there's money to be made that's where they will go. Babymetal has proven again that there is a lot of money to be made there. And now the list of female metal bands seems to be growing all the time. And they're really good bands too. Fun times ahead. My only concern about Babymetal is that is one of those bands that won’t be there forever. Unless they evolve somehow. I don’t see Su-metal and the girls wearing tutus and skirts and doing choreography in their 40s… or later.
That's something I think about too. I wonder whether eventually 3 new girls will be introduced in a new incarnation, a rebirth if you like. The main singer would have to be at Su's extraordinary level, a rare singing and acting talent. You could imagine a transition period where Su, Moa and Momo still participate, the First Take videos don't call for athletic ability and we know that some beautiful songs are performed with minimal choreography (No rain No rainbow) . I'm probably way out with my thinking but the story has evolved with amazing imagination so I'll keep faith with that brilliance. Whatever happens the wealth of live videos and studio albums will be with us forever ❤❤❤🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
