This was one of the best series I've seen in recent memory. The pacing, acting and writing was phenomenal outside of a couple plot holes towards the end. I just don't see how Rose ties in to the next season and that concerns me cuz she's a big part of why this show works
We thoroughly enjoyed this series! Loved the suspense & how it took off in episode one & never let up. Actors were terrific too! Can’t wait for the 2nd season! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Amazing show. Saw the trailer had Robert Patrick (The Unit) and D.B. Woodside (Suits) plus noticed it was filmed locally. When I started watching I was hooked and didn't stop until episode 9. Non stop action and intrigue from start to finish.
Netflix has to approve another season. It was intended to function as a limited series so the next season means new writing and stuff like that with its own unique beginning and ending for each season which will bring new and old characters with it. But yea I do hope we get a new season Shawn Ryan said it would open a new world and creativity to the series.
Why does Rose have no friends? Its so strange how all she had was her aunt and uncle and no other family that she ever talks to about them. They made it like shes a alien and just exists with no real history.
One plot point they didn’t seem to conclude was Omar Zadar. I know his political relationship with POTUS wasn’t the focus, but he just became completely irrelevant after the Marine One scene. Nevertheless, this show needs to keep going!
I thought the kiss at the end signified that they did. Ultimately, I think it was best that they didn't force that in everyone. I genuinely don't see how Rose fits into next season's story though
@@zephaniahmcdaniels honestly lol. I was surprised that Peter decided to go back to the FBI after all that happened. The ending doesn’t really make sense to me either especially considering how Peter and rose would essentially be back to where they started.
Just finished series and was highly entertained, though confused at times by the many subplots and possible bad guys. Still, I like a puzzle so that worked well! I would have cast the assassins as the two principals--they had more charisma and were easier on the eye.
Cuz there could potentially be more fallout that way. The building can somewhat contain the explosion whereas the surrounding area can be severely damaged (cars, helicopters, etc.)
I mean thinking about it, it’s smart to evacuate all citizens from where the briefcase(bomb) was stationed at. Rather than carrying the bomb out in the open, and to risk big explosion which possibly can kill or injuries the citizens.
What I didn’t understand is how they figured out that Farr was actually involved in this and she is a corrupt. I know that they told her something but how did they know? Can someone please explain. Thnx
Every single time Peter took Rose to hide somewhere, hitmen showed up. She was the only one who knew where they were. Also they figured out she planted trackers on Rose and Peters car.
The ending was written poorly. So the President is almost killed not knowing it was happening. Then gives Peter a top notch secret mission impossible job after all of this internal corruption
@@art68us I don’t get it, was his dad innocent and they had set up the confession for double agent or was he guilty and was given double agent as chance for redemption?
I am not sure Peter would be able to survive more than one episode if there were a second season. This series portrayed men as being totally incompetent and women the only ones with brains and physical strength. Peter couldn't even defend himself with out Rose coming to his aid. I think the roles should have been reversed. Rose took control of the whole investigation while our strong FBI agent, Peter, did everything he was told to do.
Nah, she filled in some of his holes. I think that comes from his inexperience as an agent. She has more brains solely based off of the fact that she's in cybersecurity. I don't see how you draw that conclusion unless you missed those details
@@zephaniahmcdaniels OK, what I am basing this on, is the comparison of the book and the series. In the book, Peter is not exactly a rookie. He has had some street experience before being appointed the night agent. In the book they are dealing with Russian agents, not a Vice Pres. who wants to become President. Peter gets into lots scrapes, avoiding the Russian hitmen, and Diane Farr's rogue agents. He never needs the help of a woman to win his battles. He is strong, both physical and mental. My beef is that they made him a weakling and a mental Moran and needed the help of a woman to survive. In the book Rose is not in cybersecurity.
@@thegunman2020😂😂🤣 he wasn’t a moron she was his partner they corroborated. They worked together he did a lot of investigation and putting pieces together of the puzzle. Plus he put in plenty of combat
Absolutely right. As long as you turn your brain off, you're fine. At the very beginning it is still the most logical, then - with every flashback - it becomes more and more unbelievable. In the end it degenerates into a modern fairy tale. Why can't logical and realistic thrillers be shot? It's the usual pattern again - only this time a couple instead of a lone fighter saves the US world. Probably due to the women's quota. There are 2 out of 5 points for the craftsmanship and 0 for the plot.

I hope so!

I WANT SEASON 2
There better be a season 2. Exciting, and thrilling and hopefully there is a big enough engaged audience.
It was based on a book, so maybe not.
Are you that easily pleased?
i sure hope so, the first season was great!
I'm only 6: 18 into it and It's LOL over here.WORST NIGHT EVER for the kid.
season two is coming next year

Totally fair! It was a good series for sure!
I need more! Best thriller/mystery in a long time
Totally agree - felt like I wanted to keep watching more. Especially as it was building to the ending!
Try the shooter
Watch Slow Horse. Much better story. More realistic.
I hope we get a second season, I really liked the show.

This just got renewed for season 2 in 2024! 🎉

Yeah it definitely had something good about it. The best 'agent' series that Netflix has released in a long while!
@@BrainPilot yeah 10000% with you with that
Hope there’s a season 2 with Rose and Peter in the picture
The showrunners really did Cisco dirty by killing him off. It’s messed up. He should have lived.
Really great drama. Please make season 2 happen!
I would like to see Rose go after the “friend” that ruined her business.
That would be dope. I just don't see how she would fit into a storyline moving forward as Peter is doing missions that don't involve her directly
The Night Agent made me binge watch… loved it. Eric should have survived.
aye! this season was soo good!. I sat on the couch.......and I forgot the world.
That's what you want a show to do!
Looks like Gordon Wick will become going to be the primary villain in season 2 of the night agent.
Gordon will sent John to assassin Peter. If you get the reference 😂.

First thing on Netflix I’ve liked in a while but considering they are in self sabotage mode, I’m concerned we won’t get a season 2.

Why does Rose have no friends? Its so strange how all she had was her aunt and uncle and no other family that she ever talks to about them. They made it like shes a alien and just exists with no real history.
Facts. The only thing I can think of is, she's far away from home really. There's no telling how long she'd been out in Cali starting her company
im going to go talk to my teacher about my overdue assignments after listening to this.

Yeah that is true! Maybe it will continue in the new season!
Yes. Whatever new mission Potus sent him on can include Zadar on some level.
That's right. Was he even in the last episode or did I miss that?
Finished it in 1 go, love it 🥰🥰
It was good wasn’t it!
💯
Netflix better renew this for a Season 2 or I will be mad 😡 watched this in one day .
They have already! So that's a positive!
I absolutely loved it! I started it last night and finished it today!
i agree better than the series treason. i love this series, good one netflix
I was hoping he was still a night agent and the ending will be the phone ringing again and it his dad in the other end.
That would have been a very cool twist!
I’m fuming at the fact that they didn’t end up together. They better be reunited and married in season 2

A bit formulaic with some really obvious plot points (ahem Diane Farr) but thoroughly enjoyable
When are we going to get a crossover with Jack Bauer, Jack Ryan, and Peter Sutherland?
Haha, imagine lol

Loved this much better than JACK RYAN S3
It was quite self explanatory 😂
Can someone tell me why Chelsea just didn't take the bomb in the briefcase outside of the building instead?
Go ahead. You pick up the bomb. I'll wait...way over there.
Cuz there could potentially be more fallout that way. The building can somewhat contain the explosion whereas the surrounding area can be severely damaged (cars, helicopters, etc.)
So she could blow herself up? There was only 3 minutes left evacuation was the best decision
I mean thinking about it, it’s smart to evacuate all citizens from where the briefcase(bomb) was stationed at. Rather than carrying the bomb out in the open, and to risk big explosion which possibly can kill or injuries the citizens.

Thank God for all the strong independent women or the weak men would've never survived.
But how did Peter know the second bombs was on the chopper?
The comms said contingency plan so he put 2 and 2 together
He didn't. He guessed based on hearing that there was a contingency plan.
Yeah, I didn't like how they just took his word for it and checked the plane again. I thought it was over for him
