often times people redesign her going ultra da on like, tomboy sporty, and nothing wrong with that but like, I just love when people give her a more "hyper" design like making her kinda kidcore or something, like she's not just sporty but general competitive and hyper and fun, like she would play videogames too, and listen to upbeat music, maybe speedcore stuff.
(also I just relate to her more this way so uhhhhh)

Honestly I agree! I don’t really think any of the characters would fit the tomboy/gender non conforming style. I always see ppl daraw rainbow looking more butch instead of feminine but I honestly don’t think it fits her. Rainbow is sporty yeah but she’s not all that masculine like say Spitfire would be (not that spitfire can’t be girly but you get the idea) . Rainbow has a lot instances where she actually enjoys being feminine but feels self conscious due to thinking she has to be more rough and boyish. She’s definitely one of favorites and I really admired the show for letting her have a feminine side. ^^
She kind of looks like Ramona Flowers and I mean that in the best way possible.

MLP’s human designs are so funny because they purposefully gave the characters their pony skin colors to avoid any implications about race and STILL managed to whitewash a good handful of them

Also the fact that they used the same base for EVERY female character in the movie (at least from what i remember) and didnt have any sort of diversity with body types or height just made the movie a little less interesting
Whitewash? How? Also I think them having their pony skin colors gives people the freedom the draw them with whatever skin color. Plus race is socially constructed thus why should they have the race we implemented? It’s not an actually thing scientifically speaking. So why?

As a woman myself, I LOVE my body hair! It genuinely gives me so much euphoria, especially in the summer when I wear shorts and I can see my cute little natural leg warmers. NORMALIZE WOMEN WITH BODY HAIR, cause it’s fucking hot!!

The picture refrence u had for Twilight Sparkle is actually a different character who is originally from EG. The fandom has given her the name Sci-Twi to differenciate her from Twilight Sparkle the main character. Just to let you know, because sci-twi's character is slightly different from pony twilight sparkle. :D

While I see what you mean, LavenderTowne was specifically talking about Twilight’s human COUNTERPART design, not her pony form in the human world. Because otherwise, none of the other girls would HAVE a “human design”. I personally like the fact that she chose SciTwi since it feels more congruent with the other design choices for EQG

I love how your pony designs feel more unkempt than the original. What I mean is the OG ponies are very polished, which makes sense for animation, whereas your ponies are more wild and colorful and I don't know, I just really like it 😂❤️ Your work is beautiful as always!

i honestly love how self-indulgent this one feels, it's so nice to watch and made the designs really come out so cute and personalised, idk they all just have this incredibly fun energy to them \(^o^)/ I'm just so happy that you decided to have more of your own interpretations here (while making sure to keep their essence and traits), rather than trying to think of how to redesign them specifically for equestria girls as characters to be animated or made as playline dolls -> not that that would be a bad way to go about it obvs! but i just love the vibes here

Trivia: the equestria girls have two main designs: the ones from the first film which are characterized by the big shoes and the one that came later where they have new clothes and the shoes are smaller, that's why you'll see some images of Rainbow Dash with a skirt and shorts underneath and large sneakers, and others with the dark pants and normal-sized sneakers. There are also two Twilights, the Twilight with no glasses, straight hair and leg warmers is the original pony Twilight who goes through a portal and comes to the human world, and the Twilight with glasses and more curly hair was born in the human world, her nickname is SciTwi.

I just finished rewatching all the mlp stuff for nostalgia, and seeing this definitely made my day.
A lot of people remake the mane six and change them heavily, i like how you kept most of the same color pallets and took personally into play

Something about the equestria girls that really confused me is how the mane 6 are supposed to all be adults, but the equestria girls are all teenagers, but for some reason twilight becomes a teenager when she goes to the human world? I think it’s odd lol

Also! As an equestrian, I have a suggestion on how the hooves can be drawn. Hooves tend to be more wide and round at the tip and taper a bit towards the back, instead of being sharp and flat. Keep up the good work!

the human redeisgn of twilight is so perfect, i think js bc shes like a more socially awkward nerd that she doesnt like fashion. In the episode where she had a sleepover with rarity and applejack, she loved to put facemasks on and do basic girly things

these designs are my favorite out of all the designs I've seen for mlp so far! but I think if I were redesigning fluttershy, I would keep the aquamarine/teal in her clothes and her eyes just bc I like how it looks on her more than the brown. but this version is an interesting color pallette for her and def suits her! i love that mlp is coming back and lots of artists are drawing the girlies! i actually just the other day was watching a fluttercord compilation and drew the characters from the anime Princess Tutu as ponies so this is so fun and so relevant to me rn lol.
