Thank you for speaking out about this 🥰 I’m in a depressed mode atm I have had psychotic episodes I put it down to extremely stressful situations. 4 years ago I was put in hospital with a really bad one. I was told I had bipolar I totally denied it and walked out of the hospital. Then just 6 weeks ago another, homeless and broke at 61 now living with my beautiful son and his wife. I’m ready to accept I’ve hurt so many people. I have such a distrust in doctors meds ect this has helped me sooo much to accept and get help Thankyou 🙏🏼
You're welcome Friend. I am so sorry things are hard. Bipolar Disorder is so tricky and destructive. Sending you so much love and strength as you walk this journey.
Speaking of psychotic episodes and the online element. In my first and only manic episode that caused me to be hospitalized for 18 days, I turned to text message and social media to negatively blast my current boss and proceeded to give reasons to why he was incompetent and should be fired. It was BAD. Thankful for the mental health act where I live in Canada.
34:12 Shaylee ❤ I think your first intuition of "bless them and block them" is probably right for you despite everything. I think this is a question of self-preservation. Just discovered your channel this morning and I love it. Julie is a wonderful person too, I also discovered her channel (sadly inactive since 2021) just recently too and I find it an absolute salvation 🐿🌸🌻🌺🍀
Thank you so so much. Your kind words and support mean a lot. Julie is currently writing a new children's book. She will be back. online once she completes the project. I'll share your kind message.
Watched half an hour and will be watching hopefully the rest when get more time and will more than likely be buying one of Julie’s books. I have to asked why have you put she/her after your name?
It is so misunderstood and so I always ask my guests about their experiences. I share more of mine on a series called 'manic Mondays' on the podcast instagram @this.is.bipolar if you wanted to follow along. I'd love to hear your experience if you live with bipolar disorder.

Thanks for sharing. That sounds really hard. Did the mental health act protect you from being fired?
Yes that's right. Mental Health Act protected me from being fired from my career or over 10+ years.@@thisisbipolar

1:25:27 absolutely. Sleep also radically changes the game with metabolic imbalance (& consequently weight management).
This was great. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. She/her are my pronouns and its becoming common practice on IG, FB and zoom to share.
Thanks for asking!
I was dignosed at 19 with Bipolar and then at 23 I was dignosed with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type
Thanks for sharing and watching. It means a lot.
52:00 neurological genetic illness, terrifying but true. Definitely good if BP management and treatment includes neurology.
People never discuss dysphoric mania. Interesting....

If you find Julie's channel, you'll see she posted 3 years ago I think, a really valuable and unique lived experience of precisely this
@@kimberleymarkova3641yes, I've seen it. Thanks for spreading awareness though.
I am being treated for Bp 1.I am feeling like a vegetable.what should I do?
Hi Friend,
That is such a big question, it is hard to answer. Do you think you feel that way because of the meds you are taking?
5:59 Ditto
Annoys me when people conflate psychosis & hypomania with mania.
