- Freeport is a port town located on the southwest coast of Grand Bahama Island in the Bahamas. In this video, we’ll provide an overview of our April 2022 visit to Freeport, when our ship - the Carnival Legend - docked at the Freeport Harbor cruise center and we spent a few hours exploring the port area.

I love the way you explain everything about the port and the attractions they have. Really appreciate your thoroughness and tips you provide. Not many channels does as much as you.
We have been to Freeport two times, and we like it. First time we went on an excursion to the perfume factory, a shopping mall, and a brewery tour. Real nice. Last time we just stayed by the ship and walked around. We bought a really nice hand carved sea horse and the gentleman signed and dated it. Had a really nice time. Would go back again.
$7 one way to the beach ($14 round trip), $12 to enter to the beach, so $26 to swim in the beach for each, $104 for a family of 4, I think it is a rip off.
Taino Beach is nothing but a timeshare ripoff.
We are going on the new Margaritaville at Sea ship that runs 2 night cruises out of the Port of Palm Beach in 3 weeks. This is their only port of call so the timing of this video was perfect, thank you!
Ronnie Lee. We’re going on the cruise soon any tips?
We are going in January but for 6 days.
@@katrinamcneil5395how was customs? Trying to bring some adult gummy bears to enjoy the sun with me. Making sure I'll have no problem 😉
This was a really helpful video!!! We have been to Freeport twice and have enjoyed the Port Lucaya Marketplace. However, it appears that the area closest to the port has been improved since we were there. I find the industrial nature of the port to be absolutely fascinating, too!
I always enjoy your videos. They are very informative, organized and succinct. We’ve been to Freeport once, right before Covid hit in 2020, and stayed in the port and enjoyed it very much.
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoy our videos!
Thank you for posting the picture of the port now I know what to expect when we’re there this weekend for my birthday!🥳
We too visited Freeport just this May (2023) via the Carnival Legend! Very nice place to visit! My 2nd time here! Also came here on the Carnival Pride in 2019. We saw everything you presented here. Thanks for sharing!
I’m going on the Carnival Liberty next year out of New Orleans and now I’m glad I know my way around the port. This video earned a thumbs up from me. I’m going to Key West in Florida first and I think it’s Freeport and then Nassau in that order.
your videos are pretty good, appreciate the info its what I was looking for
I love your videos!
This place is a tourist trap. Definitely get out of the port and go explore the island elsewhere for a real experience. Do your research and find something you’ll enjoy - there’s a lot to do. For the adventurous, a short walk from where you dock is a restaurant with an adjacent beach surrounded by rocky shorelines. Can’t speak to the restaurant but the snorkeling and free diving here is surprisingly good. Do this in the morning before you go out! Protected from a large barge of some kind outside of port the water is calm and crystal clear. Depths shallow up to 30ft with a mix of rock, steel beams and a few old sunken vehicles. Impressive variety of reef fish, eels, jacks, barracudas and a swarm of reef sharks that frequents the area and restaurant for feedings!!
Awesome thanks
Are any of the shuttle buses/taxis wheelchair accessible?
is it ok to metal detect the area beaches
Do they accept dollars bills
Yes, US currency was accepted during our visit.
