But, IMO, his best performance was this one, against Poirier. Dustin did everything he could to get separation with those switches, hit him right on the chin and got him wobbled, threatened with the guillotine, almost choking him out. Khabib neutralized all of that and looked more loose than ever with his striking and wrestling.

The recent fight between Islam and Volk kinda showed a glimpse of how to counter this, Volk is so small, Islam didn't had much room to maneuver, but he still use his own weight to wear Volk down a little. If the body proportions are drastically different, then Sambo doesn't look invincible. Or maybe Islam was not smart enough to find a better position in that fight, he is good, but Khabib looks way better as a grappler (Islam looks better on foot, trading strikes, but just slightly)
