Such a fabulous job Sarah!!! I feed cilantro about 3-4 times a week to the girls and they love it! I usually feed about 4 stems each piggy. Cilantro is extremely cheap here so it's a fabulous addition to their salads. Thanks again for this fabulous series! Lots of hugs!!
When I go for my weekly shopping trip for veggies, I always pick up cilantro, they love it so much! My smallest guinea pig, Bobbi, always steals the biggest piece and runs off. All four of them love it though.
thank you for this informative (and adorable) video! My piggers ate cilantro quite often since we often used it in our cooking. Parsley, not as much, more like an occasional treat. My piggers loved both and their treats never went uneaten!
This video made me feel so much better! My piggie is obsessed with cilantro but I was worried about the level of calcium because I also thought it was much higher, it's good to know I can give him cilantro more often, he'll be thrilled 😊
I really would like to thank you because I fed my pigs parsley. I thought I made a mistake by feeding them parsley. After I saw this video, I was very relieved.😂😂
You inspires me to get 2 little piggies and a c&c cage! Your videos also help me take care of the guinea pigs and feed them. I love your channel so keep posting! 😘
Thanks very much! Learned several useful things in 6 minutes. Well done! Your pets are very lucky to have you. I bought Coriander this morning by mistake instead of Parsley and wanted to check before feeding it to our pigs. Turns out it was a happy accident in several ways. Subscribed.
I actually work at a grocery store and come into a ton of contact with both of these! I just did a video on vitamin c and included both of these :) I'm glad you did this! No one in my family eats cilantro and so id love to get some from my work! Lovely video as always :)
Cilantro smells so good. I'm actually growing some right now. They just need to grow some of the leaves haha. Bun Bun is so picky, I'm hoping he'll gradually like them but at the moment cilantro is thr last choice of veggies if there's romaine or bell pepper.
Interesting video :) I already knew about parsley having a high calcium content and I limit how much my bunnies have as they can develop bladder stones too. A lot of people don't realise that calcium can be damaging so it's good to inform the public! x
I have a picky pig. She loves cilantro but the supermarket was out today so I got her parsley and she gives me these funny looks like that's not what I wanted lol.
Great video! My piggies love these! I am still so sorry for Lola and you and your piggies are in my heart! Your CDs are awesome and I love this channel thank you for doing youtube! Your awesome😆😆
I love your videos! They are so well made and I love your voice! I have learned so much with your videos! Also, I am in love with a piggy at the adoption center, but it is bonded with 3 other pigs so I would need to get them all. (Well that is the preference and I would feel sad to leave the other pigs) so I just watch your videos and pretend your pigs are mine too!
I gave my piggies parsley for the first time. The italian kind. It has a strong smell. I read it was high in vitamin c, so, i was excited giving it to them. 😅 I usually keep 'em on a strong diet. But time can go by & my boys will still keep their same consistent personalities. They must be like Axl, the adventurous eater: nom, nom, nom. You dont know what youre missing out on. Welp, more for me. _makes cute greedy eating piggy sounds_ Whiskers: _sniffs everywhere_ No, I'm good. I smelt it & it's stank. I wish he wouldve ate it for the benefits tho 😔. Whiskers just kind humors me sometimes. He makes me think of humans & human preferences the way he always sniffs his food.
We too didn't know about the high calcium content. I bought Cilantro to give them this week. They love both the same I believe but I love Cilantro more because hmmmm the smell. Thanks for the video! @carmelathepiggy on Instagram
Your videos are very informative (thank you). I have just become a piggy mum for the first time ... please could you do a video on a weekly menu of vegetables as there are so many conflicting information online. I’m struggling with how much to give them on a day to day basis and how often etc. Thank you 😊
cool video. Poor Lola:( 4 of my guinea pigs love this video. One question how do you fight an infection which spreads and attacks your poor piggies...............
Great video :). So what does anyone here think of Nasturium? It grows like a weed, blooms a yellow flower, & the flowers have a peppery flavor, per my research. I've seen yes & no articles on feeding to guineas. My son brought the plant home from the 1st grade & I planted in some organic soil. And it really took off. LMK what you think! :)
third view!!!! oh my goodness you are wonderful and im so sorry about Lola!!!!! I have two guinea pigs named Rocky and Snoopy who are baby boys about 5 months old I think. We built a c and c cage like the one by pinkys piggies.... they have had lice before but they are well now!! your video helped soooo much!! thanks so much!!!!!! I really want some of your piggy fleece items btw in the future!!! hehe :)
What do you a use to make your videos? Also can you please do a video on "How to get your guinea pig used to you picking him up and handling him? Thanks! LOVE your piggies! Sprite is SOOOO CUTE! Reminds me of Teddy!!!
do their veggies have to be organic, or can you give them regular veggies (cost reasons)? I'd like to give veggies a lot, but if I can only give them organic, I can't afford it very often.
thats great info my pigs hate corriander but love parsley l usually only put a small piece on top as decoration. l cant blame the pigs for not liking corriander l hate it too lol
How many veggies should you feed two guinea pigs each day? I know there is a set amount for pellets, but is there one for veggies? How do you know how many to feed them?
Okay some video ideas -Hair(loss and stuff) -Mint -Chard -feet -what to do if your guinea pig gets a cut -what medicine and shampoos-herbs can harmful Just saying.
I think 'regular' carrots have less sugar than the baby ones or smaller ones, but for baby carrots 1 per pig a day and the bigger ones maybe half depending on the size as they are less sugar x
hi im a new pig owner and I would like to ask for a help Im really having a hardtime in letting my pig eat, can you recommend me some vegies or foods that could be good for my pigies thanks
Gerlynn Liston If they are new piggies they might be too nervous to eat when you are watching, make sure you give them enough time to settle in properly :) Give them lots of loose hay in their hiding areas and they will eat that - also for veggies, anything leafy is favourited but not too much cabbage or spring greens :) Corn husks are always popular too (pull off outer leaves as they may have more pesticides on)!
Squeak Dreams Thank you so much for your advice the piggies are doing so well now.. hhmm is it okay if i put too much leafy foods for them? I notice they are getting fat is that fine? or should i stop feeding them with green stuffs? Thank you :)
When my piggies were under six months I'd give them some parsley every now and then but they just thought it was okay. Now a days I don't give it to them because they both excrete a lot of calcium. Cilantro? HAHA it's like satans plant to them I guess because I tried it once and they both reeled their heads away from their veggies plate in complete horror, proceeded to get very angry by stomping around the cage and were wheeking at me as though I'd betrayed them. I took it out but they still left behind all the other veggies that had a lingering scent of cilantro. I was laughing so hard at their extreme reaction to it. They all have their own likes and dislikes don't they? Lol My girls are my little diva drama queens. I'm assuming they get it from their mother. :p
Great Video! I too believe that variety is very important in a guinea pig's diet. I no longer feed parsley because I've read that it contains oxalic acid which contributes to bladder stone formation. My pigs love their cilantro, though and I feel that I can safely feed it 6 times a week. I follow the food list here: www.happycavy.com/what-can-guinea-pigs-eat/ So far it has worked great! My piggies are so much healthier than when I had them on just a few low calcium veggies every day. Great video!

So excited! Just got the piggies today. Both girls. Brown, and are about 3 months old. I have them in a MidWest Habitat
Good luck with the pigs :)
I adore the guinea pig bowl.

Great! Coriander tastes like soap to me, so there is usually a lot of discarded coriander. Now i can feed it to my piggies! Thank you
I loved your video and if you have any ideas for stuff to put in my piggies cage that would be great.

I love your Guinea pigs what breed is Anne
Here in Texas I can get a BIG bunch of cilantro for $0.28 while a much smaller bunch of parsley cost at least double that.

Hi Sarah can you please do another DAILY ROUTINE PLEASE!!!!
I will :D
my fella eats a load's lettuce.....but,i wish he ate more cabbage, parsley, sprouts, n' other greens!!
I read that you can't deed baby guineas cilantro...have you heard the same?
Nope - cilantro is fine to feed to babies, its a taste they acquire as they get older though, so they might not like it right away!
Oh two more (sorry if overload)
-How do you pick up and handle guineas
-What two do if pigs stop eating veggies
Thank you! Picking up and handling videos coming next :D

Sprites eyes
Look very funny they look face 🐹🐹🐹🐹
Very interesting! Great video :)
Both of these have to much calcium going cause bladder stones
Parsley yes, coriander doesn't have as much calcium & can be fed 3-4x a week.
