I think this type of videos are the content I like the most in your channel, your GenCon 2023 recap, what games do you actually keep each month... The amount of reasoning given and the overall message that there are a lot of games you can like but it's better to keep your focus in what you actually play is something that sometimes gets lost within the passion for boardgames we have
I really need to play Rurik: Dawn of Kiev. I'd buy it but one of the people in my group isn't a big fan of area control. If I had a chance to play it I could figure out if it had enough other facets that they would find interesting enough to want to play.
@@BoardGameCo Yeah, that's the only reason I haven't gotten it. It sounds great to me. Especially think the action selection bidding/bumping sounds very interesting. Thanks for the feedback.

"Easily my favorite Garphill game"
100% agree. It's already in my top 5 (of all time) and could make it as high as 2-3.
It's great :)
My city I played through five times- haven’t finished My Island yet myself either
Yep, one is just better and more straight to the point.
I love Apiary but I'm having trouble finding anyone that wants to play.
Rurik 🤤🤤🤤 suchba good game. Do you add the expansion when you play it..?
What's your take on Resurgence?
It's incredible:)
And I loved resurgence but that one got less fun for me the more I played. Rurik on the other hand, holds up
What are the other deck builders you prefer over Path of light and shadow and thunderstone ?

It's really good, but I can see it not working if you don't like area control

Would you say Rurik and Scythe are similar games? I saw someone make that comparison.
Noooo...I don't see a lot of overlap past general ideas.
