Yeah, Red for Hydrocity, Orange for Marble Garden, Yellow for Launch Base, Green for Carnival Night, Light Blue for Ice Cap, and Dark Blue for Angel Island.
@GrantKP by that logic the flying battery zone miniboss, gapsule was also for that because that level was suposed to be before icecap and after carnival night originally
luis torrealba I understand that, the reason why I said S&K is because the sounds are reminiscent of the intro music and the invincibility theme in S&K
S.K. Fusion Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that the music definitely changed from S3 to S&K. Notably a lot of tracks Michael Jackson made were replaced.
EnigmaHood and I think that was because Michael didn't really like the Genesis sound so he didn't stay for the rest of the game. Unrelated tho I think 3&K is the best in the series
Jesus, Sonic 2 accommodates this song better than Sonic 3 does! The more electronic and reverb heavy instrumentation is perfect for this track. The voice samples almost sound out-of-place because how clear they are.
Thanks bro, It takes anything from 30-40 minutes and beyond. depends on the track really. I'm uploading the Robotnik theme and Hydrocity Zone Act 1 right now
I can see why many would prefer how the instruments sounded in the first two Sonic games. After all, Masato Nakamura did do them. He would've done the third, but SEGA did not pay him enough.
Sonic 3 though had Micheal Jackson, easily preferable with bangers like Ice Cap, Carnival Night and Launch Base. Though Sonic & Knuckles would have him absent for legal issues. That game also has bangers like Flying Battery and The Doomsday Zone.
@@SonicFan11245 Michael Jackson did compose his own tunes for it, but ultimately nothing was chosen from his side that made it to the cart. In fact, Michael Jackson originally composed the entire score for Sonic 3 by himself, but all of it was cut due to the allegations he faced. Kinda sad since I really wanted to hear what it would have sounded like. He did samples that Buxer used, though. The most obvious being in the Mini-Boss track.
Ok Ok, I Know. Flying Battery is NOT a S3 Level. This Song did NOT Appear in Sonic & Knuckles. But This Song did Appear in the Sonic Classic Collection Version of Sonic & Knuckles. But Hey, At Least You Can ACCESS The Flying Battery in Sonic 3 with Game Genie Codes. (ABZA-AJE8+W4ZT-LE0R+3CZT-LJ8W)
AAAAAAAA This sound is possibly my favorite in the universe. I hate how soon it loops. For context, the original is only in my top 30 or so and I don't mind the loop.
I see where your coming from, but the point of these remixes isnt to emulate the composition style of the game I used the instruments from, only the instruments themselves are what makes these "Sonic 2" mixes. I could call the videos Sonic 2 instrument swap instead of remix but that would be too long and confusing lol
As I recall, every Sonic 3 song that featured "heavy" use of digital samples was replaced in the Windows PC version. I guess it's still in dispute whether Sega thought the MIDI files sounded empty, or they were destroying MJ evidence, lol!
I can imagine a headcanon where the mini bosses are all humanized and each have their own unique personality. Yet they're general public nuisances who like to commit vandalism and even drink drive. Note: Don't ever take Bowling Spin's advice cause he gives terrible ones.
I love how people complain when you don't use the Sonic 3 voice clips (in your "legit" version of this), and then when you do use them (here), people complain that it doesn't sound like Sonic 2. Hey guys. Why don't you try doing stuff like this YOURSELF, eh? Instead of complaining when someone whose doing it for you out of the goodness in their heart doesn't do it the way you want them to?
fieryglaceon That reminds me that Sonic Classic Collection for the DS has a glitch where the Sonic 3 mid boss music is used in Sonic & Knuckles ALONE ONLY. Sonic 3 & Knuckles used the correct music for some reason. Weird huh?
damn it, I'm quite late to these mindfuck remixes! Can you upload this one again? link's down and I only have the first volume (Dunno if you did more than 2 :P)
Sonic 3 solo is the only classic Sonic I like but that doesn't mean this S2 remix isn't almost as cool as City Escape! Edit: I have no clue what I was on about 6 months ago...
This one shows how the Sonic 2 drums don’t always mesh well with Sonic 3 songs imo (compared to the originals). That got me thinking tho, would the Michael Jackson Sonic 3 songs sound completely different if they had to use the Sonic 2 sound font from the start?
I'm not gonna lie, I don't feel that this sounds like Sonic 2 at all. Sure, what you've done here uses the Sonic 2 instruments, and you do make it sound good, but in my opinion it doesn't capture that Sonic 2 vibe at all. Same could be said for pretty much most remixes using other Sonic instruments, no one can seem to get that feeling right. Again, you've still done good here but I just felt like saying what I felt about the whole situation.
Great remix! I'm so glad they omitted this theme for S3&K though. It's so out of place compared to all the others in the game. It's cool by itself, but it doesn't fit
That moment where I realized that these bosses are in rainbow color sorta.
Yeah, Red for Hydrocity, Orange for Marble Garden, Yellow for Launch Base, Green for Carnival Night, Light Blue for Ice Cap, and Dark Blue for Angel Island.
@AliendroidOMFG XD umm why?
It is mentioned
@@thesupervideogamenerdmore3171 Isn't Ice Cap's boss more white than light blue? Maybe it's just me.

Wow, it sounds like a combination between Sonic 3's soundtrack and S&K's soundtrack. Amazing!
technically , is a combination of Sonic 3 & 2
luis torrealba I understand that, the reason why I said S&K is because the sounds are reminiscent of the intro music and the invincibility theme in S&K

S.K. Fusion Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that the music definitely changed from S3 to S&K. Notably a lot of tracks Michael Jackson made were replaced.

I love the difference in instruments between Sonic 3 and 2 and how you're using them perfectly. Good work, you got my sub.
GODDAMN THAT'S A FUNKY BEAT!!!!
Yaaaaaaaa
This sounds dope as fuck.
Is that tails from sonic for hire
@@carlaparker4482 yessirrr
did anyone else notice that when playing sonic 3 alone, the robotnik boss theme is used for the hydrocity mini boss?
Brandon Ritter It changes to the S3&K miniboss theme if you're drowning and you pop back out during the fight.
Indeed
I did notice
@@SnancyNegative same for act 2 boss
Son of a glitch has a glitch like this, you can change the hydrocity mini boss theme to the S&K mini boss theme in S3 alone
This is smooth as butter
God I love this AND your other remixes
As smooth as a criminal...
I've never been so happy to hear the Sonic 2 font in a while..
Jesus, Sonic 2 accommodates this song better than Sonic 3 does! The more electronic and reverb heavy instrumentation is perfect for this track. The voice samples almost sound out-of-place because how clear they are.
I agree. I never liked Sonic 3's instruments as much as Sonic 1 & 2.
I don't think the Genesis was capable of that sort of reverb sound, unless you modified the instruments. I reckon a filter was added for this video :P
@@Alzter0 It was capable in some cases, depending on how much the composer knew about the capabilities of the Yamaha chip.
You sir did a great job remixing my favorite sonic track of all time, I salute you!

All the six mini bosses look crazy and look like they don't play.
