Legally,a student can work only 20 hours per week.So,the time we spend on uber eats is included in those 20 hours or we get separate 20 hours to do uber eats??
Hi Muskan , no separate 20 hours , only 20 hours you can work either you can do uber eats or other job but it should be only 20 hours in total per week .
And also I want to add on point for whomsoever reading this if you are a student and working anywhere but you are only getting 14-15 hours of work you can do 3-4 hours ubereats and can complete your 20 hours :)

Hi Shree my campus was also same, there is no accommodation inside the campus you have to find somewhere near by like north york or scarborough. They allow part time but only sometimes through certain events like becoming tutor or student representative council member but that too you can do from 2nd sem so I will suggest you find it outside the campus !

It totally depends on what promotions are there on that day weather, tips , ryt location and many things uber income can not be predicted but yeah I have earn maximum of 140 $ in one day and the maximum tip I have ever get is 25$ this is how it works .
Sometimes not that much orders and the least income was 35$.

Having a license, car and all the requirements obviously, my question is whether any international student can work as a driver of these applications with the type of visa and work permit that a student has?
yes obviously there is no restrictions on type of work .. there is restrictions only on hours and now students can also work full time .

I would like to ask you one more question if that is not a problem. And it is: What happens if I exceed 20 hours of weekly work as a student, the government consults with uber or lyft exactly how many hours each student works with them weekly? Or they don't really monitor that?
Maybe they find out when the student pays taxes or not? And if they find out about it, what are the consequences?

Students should be aware of this thing that if government found out that they have crossed 20 hours limit they can take strict actions like will not provide you work permit and can deport you as well but sometimes if you have exceeded the hours and you have valid reason such as your supervisor/manager needs you at that day due to high business demand and if this situation is once in a while then it is okay otherwise only you are responsible for it !

Smart Serve is a certificate and if you want to upgrade youreslf witht this certificate you can give online test it is only needed if you are doing sales or delivery of alcohol or sometimes in security services ! It definitely improves your chance of getting hired if you want to do part time jobs as a bartender or uber delivery of alcohol.

If you will select the option uber walker or bicycle they will not ask . Also you can open chat support by typing uber chat support on google and you can tell your issue to them or call uber support they will help you for sure !

I have also faced the same issue try contacting customer support team through chat 💬 and if you are not getting orders at specific street try changing the area. You can try front, dundas, yonge st.
Also sometimes there is bug/glitch in the app so you can switch on and off your phone / off and on location!

Hi kavyansh, you can do anywhere, the only thing is in downtown distance between apartments and pickup places is less and for one order you have to walk 500 metre to 1 km so thats how it work there I dont know about brampton’s downtown if the distance is less and you are getting enough orders yeah you can do y not 😇
