Bhaiji I was an international student in the UK like Canada way back in 2004-05 and it all comes down to how much you can push yourself, I was working for almost 15-18 hrs everyday in 2 jobs and sleeping as little as 3 hrs during semester breaks to complete my student loan but I wouldn't suggest people to take that approach but yes you got to go out and apply at every damn place that you can and always remember to show up with a confidence and smile😊

I applied at McDonald's in-person and waited for 2 weeks, and I got no response. Applying at the same restaurant online got me an interview in just 2 days and was approved for the job in FEBRUARY. It truly is a myth for students that there are no jobs. And now, after 2 months, I have got a 2nd job as well, where I just asked if there were vacancies that I am working at McDonald's and need a 2nd job too . After a week, I started my work there too!
I got it in Feb and March, and many others who came in Jan intake have got jobs. So don't get stuck on the myth. Try being active and free with the manager/owner of the workplace and show enthusiasm towards the work that you have got that fire in yourself to put in effort. 💥💯
What about new comers with zero work experience and zero skills

I used to live by Bramalea city center back in early 2000s. I applied to almost every store and got zero calls. The jobs there were mostly based on connections.

Good decision, I came back to India from Canada. It is highly over rated and most dissappointing especially for highly qualified ans over ambitious people from non IT. I hope you understand what kind of people like Canada.

I have 23LPA package in india but not happy with the job and lifestyle here. Your point from 8.30 onwards is SO DAMN true... I have seen many fellow International students itself behave with me like that. The greed seeps in really deep. The GROUND REALITY is that some Indians (especially from certain communities) behave as if they own the damn place, or that they just don't want to help another individual to succeed. The unhealthy competition that exists among students in India is exported and the same students come to Canada thinking they will succeed in the rat race all in the name for PR. Even as an Indian student from Mumbai, I feel like I am more cultured and respectful than how some DESIs behave here in Canada. Attitude and jealousy runs in some people's vein its just sad and pathetic!

Bhaaji you are absolutely right, me September 2022 me aaya tha canada and woh bhi St John's, Newfoundland. Jahan parr log kehte hai k jobs Kamm hai. Hume within 15 days job mil gayi, both mujhe and meri wife ko. But mene bahut jagah apply kiya tha Jaa Jaa ke khud stores me.

No vacancy for born citizens too. This country is crumbling. Best to avoid and go seek elsewhere for opportunities as there are none here anymore.
Canada is in a second great depression. My whole graduating class (all born Citizens) and several of my generation has emigrated, or is in the process of leaving Canada because there is no future for us here anymore. The current political leader is trying to become a dictator at the moment too.

Few things -
1. When you are an international student you do not have part time job experience in India.
2. Mentioning that you have Canadian work experience will make it easy to land into a job but new students don’t have Canadian work exp.

@@curious_thinker my advice you need to know why you going there first and what you going to do in Canada main thing you better have strong mindset and strong 💪🏽 financially good don’t even think 🤔 about coming to Canada with your Indian degree to get a job in Canada Canada is a labour country with 9-5 jobs and you need to start everything from bottom from washing plate to toilet 🚽 cleaning to office jobs Canada is more than you think 🤔 if you make it Canada you can work anywhere in this world or you’ll stuck 9-5 rest of your life making money and saving money very hard because of living expenses you can try it your best there is no competition here all day 3 jobs you can go further in life
Only 28% of students end up getting PR in Canada, the rest do not luck out and have to go home. They only have so many spots open, and you are competing with the rest of the world

As a student who has been working at a coffee shop for three years, I have noticed that many people who drop off their resumes make the mistake of rudely demanding to speak to the manager. However, creating a positive first impression with the employees at the shop is crucial. When I encounter someone who presents themselves in a polite and professional manner, I am more inclined to recommend them to my employer, and sometimes they end up getting the job. Keep in mind that it's the employees that you will be working with, and developing a good first impression is essential. So, even if you need to ask for the manager, make sure to do so politely.

Hi Gursahib.. I moved to Canada in first week of March. Started applying for part time jobs right away. On 11th March i dropped my resume at the nearest McDonalds and got the interview call on 13th. After almost 3 weeks i got a call from them and yesterday was my first working day😊
The job market is really slow so we have to do walk-ins everyday, walk-in worked for me. The situation is really tough for an international student without any Canadian experience but i hope everyone get a job soon 👍🏼
you got hired because you are new to canada and are willing to put in more effort at mcdonalds. The company knows that anyone who has been in canada for more than 4 years will not slog at their stores and quit as soon as it finds a better job.

As per your video your success rate was 12.5% (1 out of 8 jobs) that too with a full 2 to 3 year part time canadian workex and availability of a car at your disposal. How can you say 'job mil hi jayegi' to a student who is straight out of 12th or graduation without any workex without availability of a car. Student in that situation is very desperate and tense. kindly elaborate. Will wait for your response
