My coworker bought a doggie door that works with a transmitter on the dog’s collar so it only opens when he gets near, and other animals ( raccoons, rodents etc..) can’t get in. He couldn’t figure out why his electric bill was so high even for a Texas summer. Turns out the dog figured out if he laid outside in front of the door he could be outside in the sunshine but the dog door would stay open and and the air conditioning would blow though the dog door and keep him cool. Smart doggo!
Bichons are intuitive about the weather. They sometimes put their head and neck outside of a doggie door to check the weather. Safest and least annoying method is a small outdoor fence and a doggie door.
@@drxym My Bichon is also insanly food motivated. Which is why he is so easy to train. There seems to be no limit to what I can teach him (despite him being 13 years old now, and still learns new moves) as long as I have some cheese, spaghetti or waffels to motivate him

Bow is absolutely precious. What an adorable little puppy. His smile is just too cute and wonderful, and it just lights up the room. He put a smile on my face, that's for sure. The crunching and munching was really adorable also. He's a very, very smart little boy too!!

Bichons are extremely "clever" and "manipulative"! They are experts in getting their way by "hypnotizing" you with those round, black eyes which they use to "stare" at you with until you relent!
