  • Today, the Buddhists in Uganda will conclude the teaching of the “pindapata” ceremonies, which are planned to teach children the importance of giving and receiving. According to the Abbott of the Uganda Buddhist Centre and founder, BHANTE BUDDHARAKKHITA the training is part of their end-of-the-year plan, set to end with a gathering for an Ethical Camp where young children are mentored and ordained. Buddhism is the world's fourth-largest religion, with over 500 million followers, or about 7% of the world's population. There are around 250,000 practicing Buddhists in Africa, about half in South Africa. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
