That’s why they don’t care about the identity of the rap genre: good lyrics primarily. Mumble rap, soundcloud rap or whatever the name you want to call it should be a different genre, there’s no hip hop in it, personally I think that give support and credit to artists that use auto tune because they don’t have a good voice, that disrespect woman, that glorify drugs and crime, that have basic basic basic songs, that ride the trends, etc... is just stupid, but that’s me! If you or anybody else likes it you have the direct to listen to it, but I just think there’s a million reasons to not do it, anyway that’s my opinion, I respect everyones opinion even is it’s just a stupid sad basic argument

The art of Story Telling does not get seen in rap much anymore, and that's sad. Cube, Pac, Biggie, Nas, Common, ScarFace, DmX, Jay-Z and many others told people a story, related to their situations (good or bad) and made it main stream.
While some of these new artists may have some good beats, bars and songs.... It seems more about the sale of albums and club popularity.
