Vertidrain is better preferred, it does more for compaction with the pitch fork motion while in the ground and can also pull plugs or not but can go 12 inches deep but with that said you never want to aerate at the same depth over and over, this will cause layer if you don't change the depths which leads to poor root growth. To much top dressing to soon will also create layering since I brought it up every machine serves it purpose
Hello I just bought thisSR70S ... I want to use solid tines (multiblock) on greens. I got some, about 25 cm. long .... but no matter how I do, the turf looks awfull after ... like it makes a "break" in the turf, were I just want straight up and down holes. What do I do wrong .... must be a setup that is wrong somehow, or what ?
Make sure the vertidrain is set right ,if it is pushing the soil up then it’s at an angle ,maybe reduce the angle at the top by adjusting top link pins .make sure the tynes are going more on a 90 degrees rather than at like 100 or so.the further forward it leans the more kick up you will have .
Also make sure the pressure plate is on the ground so the turf does not lift up as it passes through.pressure plate is the flexible piece that sits between the tynes on the ground.
Vertidrain does the same but also does more for compaction
Wow I want that!
@motorhead1 Because it de-compacts the soil and allows water and sand and fertilizer to get down into the holes and root growth is promoted.

Toro’s dealer support is so much better than Redexem’s. When a Virtidrain breaks if you don’t have parts good luck staying on schedule.

It looks like the largest field of dog poo ever to exist.
