I love fish but I only have one orange and baby blue crown betty but it actually looks pretty cool especially when turn the light on in the tank because he pretty much glows in the dark.

Hey Paul u don’t need to wait for it to cycle take some filter media from an older tank u have and put it in the new tank. It will cycle the tank much faster for your mom.
Matt Altomare coulda just took some water from a tank and filled it as well. Tank is small enough that he could treat it as if he was doing a regular water change from an old tank and dump the water into the new. Worked wonders for my Betta had em in under 3 days

Your supposed to cycle the tank before adding fish? I personally don't cycle tanks because whenever I do I loose my best Betta
kodieack kodie Are your bettas okay if you don’t cycle the tank??? I’m about to upgrade my betta from a 1 gallon to a 5 gallon tank and I don’t wanna have to wait for it cycle for 3-6 weeks because I’m trying to get him out of his small tank ASAP

You have to have filter on 24-7. You could try lowering flow.
I dont have a filter for mine but I do water changes every couple days and my betta has been living for over 3 years now

@@gmardog my betta? I have three and they are perfectly fine they swim around just fine they play thru the plants and whatever I place in there plus always come begging for food. So I wouldn't say their not happy.

betta fishes don't really need air pumps they breathe on the surface. my fish has been living for more than 3 months without it

Paul here's a few things you need to be lectured on:
1) The tank's too small, you need 5-10 gallons.
2) Plastic rips the betta's fins.
3) Artificial decor can chip and leach chemicals into the water.
4) The flow's too strong.
