“SPOILER ALERT” Just want to mention one thing, the start of the movie with SRK was a great creative choice. And I feel every single second with SRK was truly exceptional. I wish we could have had more of him and that same way of exploring the Astraverse.

I just came back watching the film and you literally said everything that was going through my mind. This film is a try for Bollywood to get out of their conventional safe zone and explore something new and we as an audience should give them this chance by supporting this film as much as we can. Please just don t let it be another OTT based title.
In Part 2 they will definitely improve. It's really great to see Indian Cinema going into Fantasy genre. Perfect nahi ho toh appreciate toh kar hi sakte hai

For me it's a good movie overall. The VFX was outstanding but it should have been better in its storytelling and dialogues. Some of the scenes do feel cringey which reminds me of the typical Bollywood films of 2010s. Although its taste is somewhat new so let's give it a chance. Waiting for part 2✌️✌️🙏

Watched it today & it was such an amazing experience 😍. All negatives fade away in front of the Visuals, Action & Emotions ❤️. We are a normal audience & lemme tell you that you'll not be able to catch the negatives sitting in the theatre while experiencing it because it'll not give you time for that. I heard some reviewers saying there are not any goosebumps scenes but they are totally wrong. There are many scenes which will hit you hard emotionally. Go watch it & I assure you that it'll not disappoint you as it will be a once in a lifetime experience for you. ❤️🔥💧

This movie was actually too good. It has successfully built the back stories of various characters and I'll not be surprised if in future they produce solo movies or series of the characters. The movie started with an unexpected and bang scene and it got a round of applause from the crowd. SRK played a very important and significant role but I'm slightly disappointed that he didn't get more screen time. Overall, it is a great movie and I'm eagerly waiting for part 2.🤩

Really appreciate your love towards cinema and originality to films and filmmaking aspects Vishal and the entire team of 5ocial! Ayan and the entire team has taken 8 years to take Indian cinema to an entirely new scale. One of the best things about brahmastra is how being a superhero film is dedicated and has an Indian touch. Completely agreed that some people might be finding things like songs in between a tense sequence, but that is Indian cinema. And coming to those people who are talking about boycotting brahmastra for some tiny Mistakes which really doesn’t matter as eod this is a movie! Why the hell do these people take these tiny mistakes so seriously. Also Ayan Mukherjee, the way this man himself is so ambitious for Indian culture and rituals that I personally feel that brahmastra is not a perfect film but is might be the start to get Bollywood on track. If it continues like this soon the hindi industry will shut down and hindi audiences will have not have industry to call their own.

I watched the matinee show.... Yes the romance angle was too extended in the 2nd half but the story base was so good and the graphics were just amazing.... Dialogues were a but cringe and weak at many points... This movie has it's drawback just like that guy said the artists were wearing shoes in temples... Raise this issue and ask the makers to rectify rather than boycott.... Because he put in the culture well in many other parts.... This kind of films and the director needs the support for making further parts and other directors to take the attempt and get better.... This was good... Not too good but not bad as well.... It has its moments... It needs support.... In one line - please don't spread hate. Vi deserves respect for being unbiased and bringing the true facts out.

Ok if i be honest There are 2 things bhramastra has to work with: 1 . Firstly the vfx is superb. And its amazing to see what they pulled off . But for me the noticable difference was lack of no cut chase or any action sequence. There are too many cuts in between any action sequence which gives it an unrealistic feel . Action choreography is good , vfx is good but the camera work tbh isnt that great 2. The dialogues man , some parts feels like john's sj 2 For many dialogues are the only noticable flaw Other than these two the astra verse and the world created is absolutely amazing❤️🔥

Just now watched Brahmastra. Such a Epic film with amazing, grand visuals which is such a treat for the viewers eyes. Such a interesting screenplay filled with lots surprising Cameos. Kudos to the whole team everyone nailed it, in lots of scenes audience went total crazy. Brahmastra is totally a grand Epic Paisa vasool movie. Brahmastra is our answer to all the Marvel and DC movies. This Film will fill your heart with lot's of positivity.

This is what also happened with KGF. In Chapter 1 they setup the characters with basic/cringy dialogues and over the top performances. But in Chapter 2 they knock it out of the park with everything. So I think the next 2 films gonna be Much better in terms of storytelling and box-office wise.

I watched the film today, The visual and sound effects are great but it lacks in making solid grounds on storytelling and dialogues. Dialogues sometimes sound very cringe. The film had potential to be much better but it lacks in character buildup and dialogues. Overall good visual-audio treat to watch which is a new thing Bollywood, quality of vfx were really good and background score too though it might seem too much sometimes. Overall it is a watchable movie, we should support it and hope they improve in the next part.
Dialogues = Wahiyat (street like) Emotions = nill Colors = vibrant (next level) Vfx =next level but kya connect kr pati hai? Story = (not well rooted) twist n goosebumps needed more. Cameo = waah level Negative role = up to the mark Song= zarurat nhi thi (kesariya is good) Climax = good but emotions & goosebumps missing. Bgm = awesome Camera work = good though Visuals = more vibrant. Destination= kashi ghats next level (Bhavya kashi - divya kashi) 1st half = slow (may be intentionally to create more charm in 2nd half) but consumed too much time. 2nd half = too pace Role =everyone is nailed as their role but story is not well rooted.

I had a perception when i came out of the theater. I wasn't able to explain or choose words to express. You, expressed it exactly what i wanted to say. They have made a new universe where they can come up with individual movies and series besides the Brahmastra trilogy. I seriously recommend, ayan mukharji to consult amish tripathi for dialogues. The combination would be deadly. Brahmastra succeeded in creating a platform for a new verse of sanatan history. Its more over a responsibility to keep the accense of sanskrit, the discipline, the seriousness, the calmness, the interconnectivity. There are 18 purans which are so connected with eachother if they make it all then it will stay in the screen for atleast half a century.
My rating:- 3.5 out of 5 The story was decent, Background music fantastic, VFX incredible, Dialogues not so good, songs were good they can be deleted but they didn't affect the movie so no problem for me, starting was superb, interval also awesome, climax was not good but I think love story part was justified at the end. Overall movie was good, everyone should go and watch it in 3D. Hoping for next part to come so some doubts and mysteries can be resolved.

this review put my heart out exactly. just came from theatre and i want more of it now. such a fine premise, great story building, excellent visuals, compelling star cast. A treat for Indians. If you say you didn't enjoy this movie seriously you didn't watched it for fun but just to point out mistakes. Take out a little time from your hectic life and watch this spectacle for fun. Enjoy and move on. That's the mindset of normal moviegoer. Simple. For the weak points i totally agree the dialogues were too childish. 50% of it were aag light pyaar. There was a huge scope for rewriting of dialogues. They just pull us back from completely surrendering into such a marvellous experience. If people rejects this, forget desi scifi genre for next couple of years atleast. You cant expect better story than this to kickstart our own superhero verse.

Can we discuss on the growing budgets of these movies. My question is, do we have the market. For a 400+Cr movie, how much does it need to collect for it to be breakeven. I believe during this tough times, the cast needs to come forward and cut their remuneration. They can have a profit sharing agreement. We would have called Lal Singh Chaddha a hit, had it been made with a budget of 100 Cr.
do u even know the budget of hollywood movies and how much the actors( famous ones) charge for each movie . KGF2 being an average movie collected 1200 crores only in india and RRR 1000 crores so there is definitely a market for high budget movies and we as an audience need to support these movies instead of criticizing it. we have to accept that this is the first time seen a movie made in india of this kind.
@@gunnaascorner6889 Can you tell me on % terms how much does the hollywood actors charge?. In Indian movies i believe more than 50% of the films budget is spent on Actor's renumeration. According to google, for the upcoming Pathan movie, the fees for (SRK, John and Deepika) alone is more than 50%. how can an industry survive with this model. Down South our actors too charge high fees, because the actors alone gaurantee a solid opening, irrespective of the talk/content/director/promotions etc. Does bollywood actors have a similar loyal fan base. Depending on the openings and returns, i believe a correction needs to be done in bollywood.

Vi, I felt evene there was no emotional connection, we could not feel the emotions, the integration of love story was very bad, even I felt that the action somethings out of place, could you remember alia bhatt threatening mouni for brahmastra, the whole theatre was laughing, only the vfx was great but the story was one liner. not taking about this movie but indian art, artist, and creative space: india is light years behind on writing mostly original fantasy and sci fi (and other non drama comedy genres) stories, and worlds, characters, creatures, abilities, phenomenons, the hubs of contribution of fantasy and sci fi is US and JP in there literature, movies, shows, animation, comics, video games

Coming to the movie i don't think it's some Avengers Infinity War level stuff ofcourse lol i don't know what people wanted from a introduction movie of the main character. Ayan has said continuously this movie is about the LOVE but everyone is like we never heard it we wanted something like Infinity War in the first movie itself lol. Like how dumb u wanna act ? Literally even the foreign critics are giving good reviews who are used to these movies yet we again have our own people trying to insult it. Sad times we are living in . I hope the film still does well and we get to see the second part 🤞🏻
We actually did not really see Nagarjuna's and Srk's character die on screen so, I am hoping they will bring back their characters in Dev part 2. Even in small parts these two actor really stole the movie from everybody, I can even argue, they were the best part of this movie.
Hope Ayan should see all the reviews on UA-cam too not of just big news channels and should work accordingly on second part improving the weakness of first part. I wasn't not at all expecting this much Love Lectures from the movie, they all were talking about light, love, Turn On, Love, love, light and Love. They gone too far that in the End they self concluded "pyaar se Bada koi Astra nhi, Brahmastra bhi nhi"......what!!!!! . And those big monologue on Love lecture between ranbir alia was too cringy.....Dance ka bhoot song was the unnecessary part in the movie, And they were spoon feeding each and every thing repeating it twice or talking each other childish way to explain plots e.g. “Wahi Brahmastra jiske teen tukde hai aur milado to gol banjata hai PIZZA JESA".....kyaaa!!!! And “Sunita ne bataya tum aajakal patakhe phodne lage ho, Bas tumhe TURN ON karne ki zarurat hai"....“Guru:Shiva Tumhi ek astra ho, bas abhi soye huye ho tumko apna BUTTON DHUNDNA HAI"....“Ranbir: Mera Button Isha hai".....Oh ok...“excuse me mujhe apna phone denge meri phone ki Battery MAR GAYI HAI?!!!. these are just some i was able to recall...while you observe scene you will easily notice those Red Set light on character's face, and they say it took 10 years of Research for making this Film...GO WATCH IT AND ASK THE SAME QUESTION....DID IT ACTUALLY TAKE THIS LONG? In RRR, there was no point that the hero’s has super powers but it was emotional so people got connected Here each character has some superpower with a strong background story I watched the movie, and I liked it. I just saw the movie and realized that the Love and Sacrifice concept, also the visions of SHIVA gives me a vibe of the movie being inspired by Harry Potter world.

It's meant for entertainment. Go get entertained. Keep it simple. You like it, good. You don't, move on and wait for another weekend to get entertained. The movie is good overall. Apart from the dialogues which become little cheesy at times, the movie delivers for me. The VFX and storytelling is something we can look up to. It does not disappoint in telling us what the director had thought to tell us.
Agreed with your review in Negative aspects.... however I have totally loved this movie out & out & I am ranting positive things about this movie everywhere. Reason for this positiveness is also because while watching the movie I did paid attention to these dialogues & acting of actors,, however the screenplay was so much engaging that it never spoilt my engagement with music. Good songs, Background score, action scenes, story-screenplay, visuals it kept me totally hooked into the movie. I did felt only this thing that, Isha felt in the love of Shiva so so much easily, like that's possible but there should have been something more. It was never told/promised that it will be only an Astra verse movie, rather it told that it's a story of Ancient Astra and love story of Shiva & Isha. I was totally invested in the movie, be it Love story part of Astra part. It's true that I was enjoying the Astra part everytime however that doesn't mean I didn't enjoyed it, I loved it though.
I think these days, People criticize a movie MORE Rather than enjoying it. I just came back watching the film and you literally said everything that was going through my mind. This film is a try for Bollywood to get out of their conventional safe zone and explore something new and we as an audience should give them this chance by supporting this film as much as we can. Please just don t let it be another OTT based title.

For me it's a good movie overall.
The VFX was outstanding but it should have been better in its storytelling and dialogues. Some of the scenes do feel cringey which reminds me of the typical Bollywood films of 2010s. Although its taste is somewhat new so let's give it a chance. Waiting for part 2✌️✌️🙏

Watched it today & it was such an amazing experience 😍. All negatives fade away in front of the Visuals, Action & Emotions ❤️. We are a normal audience & lemme tell you that you'll not be able to catch the negatives sitting in the theatre while experiencing it because it'll not give you time for that. I heard some reviewers saying there are not any goosebumps scenes but they are totally wrong. There are many scenes which will hit you hard emotionally. This movie was actually too good. It has successfully built the back stories of various characters and I'll not be surprised if in future they produce solo movies or series of the characters.
The movie started with an unexpected and bang scene and it got a round of applause from the crowd.
SRK played a very important and significant role but I'm slightly disappointed that he didn't get more screen time.
Overall, it is a great movie and I'm eagerly waiting for part 2.🤩

Amazing review.. I have not yet watched the movie but good part is that atleast someone has taken a huge risk of making a larger than life superhero movie in Bollywood.
I watched the matinee show.... Yes the romance angle was too extended in the 2nd half but the story base was so good and the graphics were just amazing.... Dialogues were a but cringe and weak at many points... This movie has it's drawback just like that guy said the artists were wearing shoes in temples... Raise this issue and ask the makers to rectify rather than boycott.... Because he put in the culture well in many other parts.... This kind of films and the director needs the support for making further parts and other directors to take the attempt and get better.... This was good... Not too good but not bad as well.... Ok if i be honest
There are 2 things bhramastra has to work with:
1 . Firstly the vfx is superb. And its amazing to see what they pulled off . But for me the noticable difference was lack of no cut chase or any action sequence. There are too many cuts in between any action sequence which gives it an unrealistic feel . Action choreography is good , vfx is good but the camera work tbh isnt that great
2. The dialogues man , some parts feels like john's sj 2
For many dialogues are the only noticable flaw
Other than these two the astra verse and the world created is absolutely amazing❤️🔥

This is what also happened with KGF. In Chapter 1 they setup the characters with basic/cringy dialogues and over the top performances. But in Chapter 2 they knock it out of the park with everything. So I think the next 2 films gonna be Much better in terms of storytelling and box-office wise.

Overall good visual-audio treat to watch which is a new thing Bollywood, quality of vfx were really good and background score too though it might seem too much sometimes. Overall it is a watchable movie, we should support it and hope they improve in the next part.

I had a perception when i came out of the theater. I wasn't able to explain or choose words to express. You, expressed it exactly what i wanted to say. They have made a new universe where they can come up with individual movies and series besides the Brahmastra trilogy.
I seriously recommend, ayan mukharji to consult amish tripathi for dialogues. The combination would be deadly. Brahmastra succeeded in creating a platform for a new verse of sanatan history. Its more over a responsibility to keep the accense of sanskrit, the discipline, the seriousness, the calmness, the interconnectivity.
There are 18 purans which are so connected with eachother if they make it all then it will stay in the screen for atleast half a century.
My rating:- 3.5 out of 5
The story was decent, Background music fantastic, VFX incredible, Dialogues not so good, songs were good they can be deleted but they didn't affect the movie so no problem for me, starting was superb, interval also awesome, climax was not good but I think love story part was justified at the end. Overall movie was good, everyone should go and watch it in 3D. Hoping for next part to come so some doubts and mysteries can be resolved.

this review put my heart out exactly. just came from theatre and i want more of it now. such a fine premise, great story building, excellent visuals, compelling star cast. A treat for Indians. If you say you didn't enjoy this movie seriously you didn't watched it for fun but just to point out mistakes. Take out a little time from your hectic life and watch this spectacle for fun. Enjoy and move on. That's the mindset of normal moviegoer. Simple.
For the weak points i totally agree the dialogues were too childish. 50% of it were aag light pyaar. There was a huge scope for rewriting of dialogues. They just pull us back from completely surrendering into such a marvellous experience.
If people rejects this, forget desi scifi genre for next couple of years atleast. You cant expect better story than this to kickstart our own superhero verse.

My question is, do we have the market. For a 400+Cr movie, how much does it need to collect for it to be breakeven.
I believe during this tough times, the cast needs to come forward and cut their remuneration. They can have a profit sharing agreement.
We would have called Lal Singh Chaddha a hit, had it been made with a budget of 100 Cr.
do u even know the budget of hollywood movies and how much the actors( famous ones) charge for each movie . KGF2 being an average movie collected 1200 crores only in india and RRR 1000 crores so there is definitely a market for high budget movies and we as an audience need to support these movies instead of criticizing it. we have to accept that this is the first time seen a movie made in india of this kind.

In Indian movies i believe more than 50% of the films budget is spent on Actor's renumeration.
According to google, for the upcoming Pathan movie, the fees for (SRK, John and Deepika) alone is more than 50%. how can an industry survive with this model.
Down South our actors too charge high fees, because the actors alone gaurantee a solid opening, irrespective of the talk/content/director/promotions etc.
Does bollywood actors have a similar loyal fan base.

Vi, I felt evene there was no emotional connection, we could not feel the emotions, the integration of love story was very bad, even I felt that the action somethings out of place, could you remember alia bhatt threatening mouni for brahmastra, the whole theatre was laughing, only the vfx was great but the story was one liner. I will blame audience for that. I can also quote an Oscar winning Indian to support this claim.

Coming to the movie i don't think it's some Avengers Infinity War level stuff ofcourse lol i don't know what people wanted from a introduction movie of the main character. Ayan has said continuously this movie is about the LOVE but everyone is like we never heard it we wanted something like Infinity War in the first movie itself lol. Like how dumb u wanna act ? Literally even the foreign critics are giving good reviews who are used to these movies yet we again have our own people trying to insult it. Sad times we are living in .

This movie deserves minimum 3/5 IMO. Those calling it 'trash' are certainly exaggerating.
We actually did not really see Nagarjuna's and Srk's character die on screen so, I am hoping they will bring back their characters in Dev part 2. Even in small parts these two actor really stole the movie from everybody, I can even argue, they were the best part of this movie.

Just came out of theatre....[i was not boycotting it and was very interested to watch it].....I want to tell you guys movie doesn't Provide what it promises. I wasn't not at all expecting this much Love Lectures from the movie, they all were talking about light, love, Turn On, Love, love, light and Love. They gone too far that in the End they self concluded "pyaar se Bada koi Astra nhi, Brahmastra bhi nhi"......what!!!!! . And those big monologue on Love lecture between ranbir alia was too cringy.....Dance ka bhoot song was the unnecessary part in the movie, And they were spoon feeding each and every thing repeating it twice or talking each other childish way to explain plots e.g. “Wahi Brahmastra jiske teen tukde hai aur milado to gol banjata hai PIZZA JESA".....kyaaa!!!! And “Sunita ne bataya tum aajakal patakhe phodne lage ho, Bas tumhe TURN ON karne ki zarurat hai"....“Guru:Shiva Tumhi ek astra ho, bas abhi soye huye ho tumko apna BUTTON DHUNDNA HAI"....“Ranbir: Mera Button Isha hai".....Oh ok...“excuse me mujhe apna phone denge meri phone ki Battery MAR GAYI HAI?!!!.

See, in every art form whether it is dance, music, film, theatre, painting etc.. There is always a scope of correction ànd betterment.
Sudhar ki gunzaish hoti hai.. So why not take it like that.. This film is visually superb and story is also quite good. Though its a first time experiment to create a film like this. Songs were also not forcefully placed (limited songs) . Bg Music was also good..and yes really dialogues were really not up to the mark (opinion before watching the review 😅) Agree with vi! 🙏.. So as a audience we should respectfully showcase the limitations in any art peace rather than boycotting or abusing!

I just saw the movie and realized that the Love and Sacrifice concept, also the visions of SHIVA gives me a vibe of the movie being inspired by Harry Potter world.
TBH I really loved the movie but I also agree that Alia's character in particular was SOO badly written. Every time she spoke I was like chup karrrr.

The movie is good overall.
Apart from the dialogues which become little cheesy at times, the movie delivers for me.
The VFX and storytelling is something we can look up to. It does not disappoint in telling us what the director had thought to tell us.
Agreed with your review in Negative aspects.... however I have totally loved this movie out & out & I am ranting positive things about this movie everywhere.
Reason for this positiveness is also because while watching the movie I did paid attention to these dialogues & acting of actors,, however the screenplay was so much engaging that it never spoilt my engagement with music. Good songs, Background score, action scenes, story-screenplay, visuals it kept me totally hooked into the movie.
I did felt only this thing that, Isha felt in the love of Shiva so so much easily, like that's possible but there should have been something more. Plus Isha's back story could have been built a little more 😊
However, I am still 200% satisfied with even what is delivered ❤️

I was totally invested in the movie, be it Love story part of Astra part. It's true that I was enjoying the Astra part everytime however that doesn't mean I didn't enjoyed it, I loved it though.
