- The Keykeeper got his Pontiac going again. Bizzarefurhead (his spelling) and I got the third garage door opener wired up, and we also installed another courtesy outlet/LED night light in the garage near the other light switch.
Furhead's "Lazarus Phone" took another nasty fall (it's had several, including one from a fast moving car) and survived it yet again. If there were an endorsement for Samsung phones, that would be it.
That is a rather noisy garage door opener -- our Craftsman (circa 2005 or so) is pulling an even heavier door (double-wide, and made of wood instead of fiberglass) and doesn't make nearly as much AC motor hum as that. However, it may have a beefier motor inside. But I miss our original circa-1971 opener -- it opened and closed the door in about half the time of any modern opener, and of course had no safety features whatsoever.
VWestlife hello there I love your videos like ixwbill
I got the same breaker box in my house. When I was in NC, I annoyed my aunt and uncle by doing that with their dual garage doors. Yes, I'm easily amused, but I come from a single garage door household!
Great work!! Looks like its comeing along nicely. How much juce have you used in the garage since you installed the electrics, do you you much for what your running so far? What sort of music system are you going to install?? can't wate to see a video on that. You could put some speakers in the roof ect...
they sound good
its coming along nice. lol i have never seen safety sensors on residential garage doors hear. mmm the sound of 60hz. ye should be running that wire in channel or conduit unless ye gona put a ceiling in.
smashing stuff bill, you cant have too many power outlets or lights.
A mains drop cable in the center of the space may be handy, perhaps a outlet could be fixed on the beam by the lighiting so you have the drop cable option.
its coming together :-)
Nice job guys keep up the good work !
on the big door, the light cover is probably loose, tighten it down and it should be good
you know the movie christmas vacation with Chevy chase? well i think the furhead is just like uncle eddy in many ways if you know what i mean:)
it is bad to have the arm completely verticle it can cause damage to the opener and the door and it puts more stress on the opener than what it should have.
Are you going to insulate/slash/sheetrock the garage? Me, I hate working in the cold...
I can't wait to see the finish project Bill!
Where did you buy that furhead? I could use one to take care of high-climbing tasks around my house.
its not a light switch its a movement censer with a red eye beam.it hooks up to your garage lights
Did I see a linksys router on top of the fridge.? Is it running DDRT?
Are you going to add outside lights to your new garage?
so, do you and the keykeeper regularly park in the garage?
I would like to get me a shadetree mechanic garage one day when I have enough funds.
VERY COOL 😉😉
How about some nice flood lights outside
were is ye-old GE fridge?
Bet that Linksys router / firewall / AP loves living out there. Garage wireless / networking?
place a censer by the other side door so if you have your hands full the lights will turn on,you can get the censer from your hardware store,, if you would like i could send a pic of my censer to you ,just let me know
@uxwbill I Saw It After I Left The Comment. Have You Done Anything Else To Restore It?
uxbill Are those garage doors 8 ft tall
Think you are too easily amused? Come visit me and my Co-Workers sometime. LOL.
