In truth people do not realise how important the rhythm guitar parts are on any musical arrangement. Rhythm is equally as important as the lead and it never ceases to amaze me how many people get it wrong from the wrong cords to wrong cord inversions which doesn’t help the guitar dynamics to sound the same as the original recording dose. And after all that then theirs the strum patterns. To be a solid rhythm guitarist takes great skill and discipline. Lastly it’s refreshing to see someone who can play rhythm correctly well done.
Thanks so much for your posts...especially the rhythm lessons on shadows songs....grew up listening to these tunes and always wanted to be able to understand them harmonically.
Excellent! Nicely played with changing shapes for the same chords giving it a lot of expression. I shall learn this from you and then go learn the lead. Many thanks!
Hi Jan, any chance of a talk through with the chords like you did on Atlantis. I found that really helpful, and this one is great!. I hope you don't mind me asking. You can send a PM if you like. thanks again. Eddie
my only problem would be swapping form major chords to barre chords through the rythm i couldn't play a barre chord to save my life..lol...GREAT VIDEO THOUGH
I see what you're doing, playing different shapes for the same chords and all that, nice, but could you do me a large favour and just play it through with just open chords or keep the same shapes for the bar chords? I've got one week to learn this! Thanks. Nicely done,by the way.7/4/14.
Brilliant, so well done and just goes to show just what a fabulous guitarist Bruce Welch is too!

Wonderful playing.
strumming also when Marvin went into his muted "solo's"? Didnt Bruce switched it to slower picking, to support Hank's better, lacing it?
