Overgrown Yard Clean Up & Mow For New Owners (Real Time, Raw Aduio)

  • Another day, another overgrown lawn. What else is there to say? The ECHO PAS2620 was used with a spare trimmer head (not my normal speed feed) and it had some issues feeding (the trimmer line got caught on an eyelet) so the first half of string trimming was pretty painful. I finally decided to stop working and fix it, and I should have done that to begin with!
    The BOB-CAT QuickCat made short work of the weeds and grass (as usual) and I pulled a ton of vines and growth off the south facing fence line. I just piled all the yard debris at the street for the city to pick up. It was something like one or one and a half trash cans full.
    For you keen eyes out there, yes, this is the real time and raw audio version of a previously shortened and sped up video.

    When you got done with that fence, I was exhausted! And you had the mowing still to do! Mercy! You made that lawn look great! With such sparse grass there, I can't believe the improvement all your efforts made. Those homeowners need to shake your hand and send you a thank you note as well as pay you.

    costing time trying to save time to get tasks done: i am SO familiar with that, brother, but a trimmer head with short line that won't bump out is one of those things that i can NOT suffer with 😂 i'd immediately either stop and fix it, or leave the job site for the nearest dealer or box store to buy a new speed feed.

    Well you had more of a weed field than a grassy lawn to work with. It's looking a lot better after you cleaned it up. That young couple will have to invest in some sod or grass seed and amending the soil to get a good grass crop. Will they be asking you to help them with that I wonder. Good job and good start in taking control of the yard.

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  5 років тому

      Depends on what you are trimming, I suppose. I use ECHO Black Diamond, which chews through grass/weeds very well, but against branches, twigs, or driveways gets chewed up quick. I just have to know when to use it or when to pull something by hand.
