Very nice looking catch, well done. Having been to Fur Harvesters Auction and watched fur graders do their thing, each fur is handled for seconds. The graders know their trade. Fur is graded by size and quality. I've seen some very dirty Fur grade high and was told why. I also worked a sale as a porter showing buyers Fur. Handling hundreds of Furs a day, they are very fast and don't spend much time inspecting each Fur. I'm with you and how you think about this. It's a pride thing sending in the best product I can send in. Well put up and clean. It also shows the quality of an individual Fur which will grade for what it is. As one graders said about putting up hides, "you can't turn a $10.00 Fur into a $60.00 Fur but you can turn a 60 into a 10." Well done.
I love all your belt you did really well this year I didn’t realize Manning had that much wildlife that you could make a little bit of a living off of I’m really surprised those are some nice looking skins I got a couple friends that live up there and a family member maybe I’ll have to look you up sometime when I’m up that way take care and thank you for everything you’ve done for me with the information in regards to making the weasel trap and everything else I greatly appreciate it
A friend of mine uses cedar sawdust and to lighten up his first of coyotes especially he uses baby powder along with the cedar sawdust. Cedar has a nice smell and if it’s completely dry it will have no pitch like pine or spruce. but that’s what he uses to lighten up his coyotes I hope it’s some used to you. So God bless stay safe and all the best to you and your family in the new year ✌️🇨🇦
Hey sweetie any good clue or Hicks you can give me on stretching out a couple deer hides I got two deer this year and I just kinda threw the skin up onto a shelf and didn’t stretch it or even scrape it yet they’ve been out in the weather you know out in the rain and everything should I just throw them in a bucket and soak them and re-stretched them
Great video and explanation! No question it is always nice to go that extra step as you owe it to your quarry you harvested. Is that a 45 gallon drum and what size motor? Likely do coyotes as well? I don't have a lot of room so smaller the better. Cheers!
I got my tumbler by buying my wife a new dryer. I disabled the heating element so it just tumbles and blows air. Smaller capacity but it works.
Good idea!
Also a great way to dry muskrats before skinning
Hardwood sawdust. Is also a good medium for absorption of the contaminated fur, plus when dirty you can use it to aid fleshing.

Cool a new video! 👍🏻👍🏻
Ya they cleaned up nice! 👍🏻👍🏻
Good looking Pelts, I enjoy the video's The weather here is rain and wind warm, no snow very unusual for this area NJ, very few critters moving.
Building a tumbler is definitely on my list of things to do.
nice furs buddy.get a couple ready for me.
Two thumbs up! Maybe I'll bring a few over for you to clean up. 🙂
Haha you got it!!!
awesome pup. nice
Thanks 👍
I would clean all the fur it comes out so much nicer with minimal effort great video
Thanks. I found it didn't work great with the beaver pelts, they are too large and stiff, not much tumbling action.

Pine marten the light ones
Hi Jeremy, just curious, what's your quota for fisher on your trapline ?
25
You probably have said, but I don't remember. What happens to these pelts these days. Where do they go and do they end up as clothing??
These ones will probably end up as trim or lining on coats.
@@trappingtoday Ok Ha.
I'm pretty sure your going to get a better price for them , they look way better. They pop
Thanks Todd!
I just use a dog brush, way easier.
