  • I’m just looking for the perfect belt knife. I used to carry a buck 110, when I was a kid - which weighs about 6.5 ounces. As an adult I need something a little more practical and with tools. My experience with the Swiss Soldiers knife has been extremely positive, so I am open minded to trying more of this series. Case in point: the Victorinox Outrider. This weighs about 5.5 ounces and is very close to what I’m looking for. I also have a Forrester model which is being shipped. I’m taking this one to work for a week to see if it can hold up to my criteria. I’ll do small video shorts it being used. I restore antiques & art. it’s not as demanding as other trades like construction but I do need strong tools.

Wish they made that size in an alox. I don’t care for having tools on both sides of the knife

@@danwolfejr4584 I thought the same thing.
The alox hunter models are a tease of what the Swiss Soldiers Knife could be in alox. The width reduction from the scales would accommodate an in-line Philips screwdriver and leave it - more or less - the same.
Switch out the awl with the same reamer they have on the pioneer and farmer.
      Boom.
It would eliminate the need for 60 % of the breath I just wasted in this video.
But brilliant marketing prevents the perfect knife. There was a point I kept buying and buying trying to find the perfect one. Then I was like “🤨”
But I still love and support the brand. Maybe they’ve just been listening to the wrong people.
That’s why so many would be customers are buying modified customs on the side market.
