2:08 - I just have to complement your editor (Chris, right?). That was a smooth transition, having the cut start and end with Mario wall-jumping in the same fashion. Nice touch.
10:29 - They the same. I don't just mean they have the same hitbox, I mean they're literally one and the same in the editor. Put some spikes down in an SMB3 non-water level, then change it to a water level - presto, they're now jellyfish. Hence the pixel-perfect margin in that swimming level.

yeh. iirc chris only does the stream highlights/edits for the youtube version. the normal YT ones (without chat) are done by dave himseld i believe, though chris probably helps out from time to time

Every once in a while, it is the haphazardness of a level that makes it fun.
I think Dave doesn’t realize that maybe the uncleared level creators want to annoy the players so they stay uncleared (Ex. First level)

With each attempt I'll do my best to try to skip falling into the pit. 1st level, intended falls and glitch warps I try repeatedly to explore beyond them, thanks to the lack of a level viewer which SMM1 had, damn what's the clear check time on that water level?

Also, at 15:38, the same exact gray blocks can be seen above the blue spike wall on the right.
the clear check time was actually the clue for the level in the thumbnail. it says 4 seconds which meant that that was the time that it would line up thats why when dave got it it was also 4 seconds

Did anyone else watch him perfectly line up the swim as big Mario from the bottom and just shake your head?
I feel like just floating down sideways was the way to go, rather than turning and swimming downward. Well, either way, he got it done.
There was a clear condition to avoid taking damage and it was impossible to avoid the frog power ups. Mario swims differently with the frog suit which is why he had to swim downward
