- I've been sick and/or unable to film for the last couple of weeks, so I thought I'd post this video instead. I'll be back next week, hopefully, on my normal update schedule!
This is the sketchbook I started once I decided I was no longer an absolute beginner, and I could "graduate" myself to a longer, hardback sketchbook.

Wow, I really enjoyed this sketchbook tour. Your commitment and improvement shows through the pages. It was motivating. Looking forward to more of this😊
I can see your improvement from what you have previously shared. Bravo. You're doing great.😊
Thank you so much!
Outstanding work. I am very inspired by your creativity and the range of subjects that you tackle - thank you for sharing not just your work, but all the tidbits about courses and other artists you found helpful. Sorry to hear that you were down for a couple of weeks; looking forward to the continued updates.
Thank you!
I admire your commitment and discipline and still you seem to have a lot fun doing it. I really would want to do more of these exercises but I get bored so fast. In any way, you do motivate me to learn more
Thank you! I think the main thing is: nobody's way of learning is the right way for everyone. I think it can be helpful to practice things you find boring in very small chunks -- like, tell yourself that if you have an hour to spend drawing, you'll spend the first 5 minutes warming up by drawing something dull you know you need to practice, like cylinders or cubes or whatever. Even a few minutes at the start of your practice will soon add up if you're doing it every time you sit down to draw. Or you can try to make it fun, e.g. if you need to practice cylinders, make yourself a little cylinder-shaped character, and then draw it doing all sorts of ridiculous things for a few minutes every day.
@Moderately Competent yeah, thank you, that's good advice. I will try something like that :)
❤
It's great to see how you practice a topic and improve your skill. I love the picture of the château.
Thank you!
Awesome stuff! I myself am on a drawing journey. do you happen to recall what video you watched about "drawing simple people from a distance"? thanks!
I'm pretty sure it was this one: ua-cam.com/video/_pnbxBNL_KM/v-deo.html. The tutorial is for watercolour, but I took the basic idea and did it in marker.
Thanks! I look forward to following your journey. Keep it up!@@charlottebrown1975
