Agree with you 100% boost!! That's the nature of turbocharged engines, the generated heat overtime is the cause of most engine/turbo failures. I am in so Cal and my dealer was using 0W-20 oil even though temps get above 95 during long summers, they simply could care less and or clueless. Forget the 10k oil change interval, do it at 5-6k. Pay attention to your engine oil, coolant and air filters. Very helpful info to the community, keep it up boost!!

You're right man..I'm running a 2014 Q50s 3.7 with 62k kms on it and the infiniti dealership services the car with a 20w50 engine oil.. I wasnt happy with that initially coz the user manual sez 5w30..but then yeah the weather here in the summer is higher 40s if not 50 degrees celsius..so yeah makes sense.
Next step for me is to go full synthetic..any suggestions would be welcome..the dealership uses total quartz.

I just get afraid by reliability reviews. Because people say change oil every 3k miles and I think that’s ludicrous... 5k miles is the least I’ve ever heard I go by 8k tops but every 3k sounds like a reliability issue from oil burning...

The E46, E92, M3's ran 10W60. That oil was used for the bearings, but it wasn't the only reason. The high revving engines, the lack of oil pressure from the pumps, and material of the rod bearings caused them to fail. Castrol developed the oil to be able to not break down as quickly on the race tracks due to heat, friction, and 8k plus rpm. Vanos relies heavily on oil pressure to be high and with a lower viscosity, the oil breaks down faster with the heat causing more vanos issues.
Now, it wasn't really as bad as the internet makes it seem. I drove mine 50k miles and at 100k miles had the oil analysis done. No issues.
    Ill be here all week.

I got my A/C off, recirculation off (even turned it on to see if it'll make a difference) and nope, still feel hot air coming out while driving. And the worst part is, it hurts my back due to the cold air coming in from the windows. Not sure if the previous owner beat this car up and it's barely starting to show? Please help

My 2014 3.7 blew my head gasket at 94k miles & I don’t kno why my mechanic said their was a hairline crack in the radiator so idk if it was that?
