I really never had a problem with Iggy. The thing that gets me is people attack her and keep going. Like, I don't have to like someone, but I'm not going to follow them around everywhere taking shots. Also, it's not like she hasn't admitted to what she's done. Like the accent thing, she never tried to potray herself as authentically from the south or anything. She's always talk in her normal accent in interviews. You also have to give it to Iggy, she's very intelligent and well-spoken.

The same reason why some people talk to friends or interviews in one way, but are completely different people in different environments or hit the stage as someone else. Why is Beyonce so quiet and soft-spoken? But is a complete beast on stage?Why is there a Beyonce and a Sasha Fierce? Why does she have so much to say in her music and live performances, but doesn't do interviews or wasn't the same person when she had interviews. Iggy apparently connects to what she feels is the root of Hip Hop. So if her favorites that she idolize rapped in a southern accent,and she stayed here to truly delve into rap in a southern environment. That's probably why. I'm not saying it's right or not. I agree. yeah everyone was on the Hey-lets-hate-Iggy bandwagon... however, I think the success from her summer hit fancy made her super cocky. She thought she could come in the industry, talk smack about other artists and say rude things would get her respect. It didn't work for Azealia Banks, sure as hell didn't work for Iggy. She really didn't deserve that. I'm glad she learned her lesson though.

I hate how people act like Iggy has done nothing wrong (like she hasn't tweeted out offensive shit about blacks/Hispanics; fake southern accent; dismissal of black issues) and acts like she gets hate just for being white. You can prosper in Hip-Hop if you're authentic/talented/hard-working and if you aren't, you will be pushed out by any means.
I'm pretty sure being authentic/talented won't get you anywhere in hip-hop. most of the "talented" hip-hop artists nowadays are young native guys that think they can rap/sing out whatever else and people are attracted to that. Not authenticity and originality.

I really hope she's learned that you don't have to always clap back. You don't have to do every performance, attend every event, or be everything to everybody. Just shut your mouth and focus on the music. Look at Beyonce -- people talk shit about her all the time and she never says anything back. Really good interview! I don't see why people hate on her, she is such a humble person.
I was never a fan, and I was never really bothered by the way she rapped. And I think she became annoying and made herself look bad when it came to defending and explaining herself so many times. But I also understand that social media is a gift and a curse, and that people can so gullible and sheep, and have a tendency to bandwagon "negative issues", people's appearances and tweets from before people got famous. Not saying that something might not occur to be wrong in the smallest way until someone pointed it out. In some cases I didn't feel bad for her and in some cases I did. People just go about educating and confronting people in the wrongest ways. People are always fake caring and fake being outraged, and don't even try to grasp an understanding of why or how things happened. We all have to do better and think logically for ourselves.

She proved herself a true Human Being.. She just earned a big boost in respect, especially she writes her own stuff and is her own product.
