Ibanez RG270 Bridge Upgrade Part 2

- In this video, I tackle the second half of the RG270's bridge upgrade. Due to the shorter block of the Edge III, some routing is required for both spring clearance as well as trem-stopper alignment.
I absolutely love these videos just started playing again after 4 or 5 years of not playing and I am even more addicted to guitars then I was and these videos are making me want to start building my own cheap giant killer!!!!!

Great video. Just across this. I had an Ibanez 320FM for many years and remember every spot on that thing. I was surprised that you installed a trem-stopper when the lip of the body cavity would have served the same purpose.
Right, but the trem stopper can be easily backed off to re-enable the trem functionality. I like things to be as versatile as possible :-)
I'm planning to install an original Floyd Rose at my RG 550 (got it just for about 120$). The spacing of the mounting studs is already the right, but I also have to install a shorter sustainblock and modify the cavity.
Thx for the video, it gave me much inspiration and motivation for that project! Maby you could do a video about how to spray a guitar? Anyways, I'm pleased to see your next video!
Thanks man! I'm thinking of color-matching the headstock on this project. That would probably be the most spraying I get into for a while.

Hey Joe! I'm still here lol. Been super busy building my own guitars over this past year & admittedly haven't paid much attention to the channel. I have a bunch of video ideas but just don't have the time unfortunately. I do hope to get more content on here eventually though, thanks for the kind words man!

I have a Ibanez RG270 and I want to change the terrible Single Locking Bridge, but if I wat to replace the bridge with the Edge III configuration standard I also have to modified the bodie of the guitar or not?

Would have loved to see you use an Ibanez Backstop instead of that trem stopper.
The Backstop is cool but in addition to it being way more expensive, it would have required wwwaaayyyyy more routing for this particular project. Maybe I'll try to get ahold of one & install on a more conventional tremolo system!
