Who would have thought it - Lindsey Butler has THE best voice of the lot - and I've watched every show. The purity & vulnerability in her voice & her obvious heartfelt experience of pain are underpinned by the strength in that same voice. In answer to fifu107, that is the flaw (but also probably one of the hooks that holds us) to The Voice. Lesser singers are put through in the earlier stages, but when the ten places are almost filled, brilliant singers like Lindsey risk missing their chance.
This is magic.

This song doesn't go well with all that dragging and those thrills. Just clarity of voice makes it sound a lot more hurtful. There have been many versions, listen to Tracey Thorn in Everything but the Girl, their version stands out for me. But Lindsay's voice is great, no doubt.
