Thanks for the info on Blichmann chillers! I was thinking about getting one, but failed to found a honest review and considering that I'll be putting the chiller through its paces by pretty much having it 24/7, 365 for multiple batches it's good to know that there are other options at a similar price range and with what it seems greater cooling capacity. I'll be waiting for the next part of the serires.

You’re welcome! The Blichmann chiller just wasn’t a reliable unit for me at all. I have high hopes for this unit, it’s in operation right now in my 90F garage.

Can you use the glycol chillers for an ice bath

They offer water chillers on their website that I’ve seen used for ice baths/cold plunges.
