Capcom should make a monster hunter esque Mega Man MMO called "Maverick Hunters" allowing you to create your own Reploid in a massive multiplayer futuristic world 🌎
We were gonna have a Korean developed MMO called, well Mega Man Online (MMO lmao). If I remember correctly, it was a crossover MMO of the Classic and X era. But unfortunately, this was during the cancellation hell of Mega Man, including Legends 3, the FPS Maverick Hunter, and Mega Man Universe. 😞
@@kudouxofficial Funny enough we still got that EXACT same concept (kind of) with MMX Dive, but in a pay-to-win gatcha format (*dies of cringe*) with PVP or PVE(solo only) 2D styled gameplay. Aaaaand as broken as that was for obvious reasons, the only Mega Man Online-Multiplayer game no longer has gone offline only. Like, why did they even add the fucking feature if they were just gonna can it? That kinda blows.
Imagine that in the style of Battle Network. Making your own Net navis, travelling through the internet and busting both Viruses or Challenge other player's net navis and if possible, make your own ability/battle chips for your character
@@akiro7640 On paper that sounds cool and all, but that would be broken as fuckkkkk. Especially if they include Micro Transactions... which they will just like last time...
Capcom: we want to have a good concept for Mega Man games going forwards Also Capcom in 2018: makes a Mega Man slot machine with story, cutscenes, and it's own branch off the timeline
Here is my theory as to why we haven’t seen much Mega Man since 2018. I feel that Capcom is very nervous on how to approach him. I don’t feel like they have anyone on the staff that TRULY feels confident in being behind a new project. You Kudou, made a reference in this video that the peeps at Capcom were hesitant to even make “Mega Man 11”. I had heard rumblings of this around a month or more after the game released. I truly believe that since “Keiji Inafune” left Capcom, the rest of the crew just feels lost. I feel like they need someone who understands the character, lore, brand, & IP in general. It doesn’t seem like they have that. Capcom just feels like a “Rights Holder” at the moment & and very little else.
@@orangeslash1667 Oh and on that note MMX8 Demake (16-bit) just released it's full version and is playable from start to finish. It changes a lot and it's sooooooooooooo good. Check it out!!!
I want Mega Man to be cool and amazing again! His franchise is still my all-time favorite gaming franchise and I still replay the classic, X, Zero, and ZX series on a regular basis. I replay Legends ever once and a while. I'm still on my first playthrough of the Battle Network series! I got stuck at BN3.
That video length, though... Putting that aside, As long as Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, and Resident Evil are still popular, Capcom won't even bother making another Megaman game.
Mega Man is a simple and easy game to make. I believe Mega Man 7 was made in 3 months and that’s impressive. Even X6 was made in 10 months. They’re not complicated games to make. Sadly, as simple and easy it is to make with low budget Capcom wants games to sell and earn them a lot of money like Monster Hunter. Sadly, Mega Man doesn’t bring in that kind of money even though MM11 was the highest selling one in the Classic series. I want another X game, but sadly there’s no in at Capcom that cares enough to make another MM game and then there’s the shareholders which are more harm than good for game development. That’s why we’re seeing a surge of Mega Man fan games popping up. People want them, and they’re mostly the X series fan games. Heck, I’m trying to learn Godot to make my own Mega Man X fan game and inspired original game series.
Face it capcom's not making another mega Man game anytime soon even if a new game does come out I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I did mega Man 11 cuz I'll always remember everything the fans did and everything Capcom didn't do
Maybe it's the copium 😭but because of Secret Level, Rockman Taisen, and how MM11 was approached, I'm a little bit more inclined to be hopeful after so many years of thinking Capcom just not liking Rock. Can't hurt to have a little hope after so long, y'know?
@@kudouxofficial The problem with Mega Man is that the series is about getting 8 power ups in every main line game, kinda hard to keep fresh. Which is why Capcom is making New IPs like Pragmata. So Capcom repects Mega man's Legacy, but they don't know what to do with him compared to their other projects. The fact that MM 11 is the 65th best selling Capcom game doesn't help ether.
@@orangeslash1667 They should just make level designs and useful weapons like what MM8 did, that game was AWESOME because of it's variety. MM11 LOOKS amazing, but the problem is it's just barebones. There's NO exploration at all, just empty stages with no replay value. ;-; In EVERY other MM game you have secrets you can find, BEAT, RUSH, even freaking MAGNET BEAM for crying out loud! MM11 doesn't even have one thing like that, which is what totally ruined it for me. (Everything else was alright)
@@orangeslash1667 Not to seem harsh, but I feel like that answer is such a cop-out on Capcom's part. I don't know about you, but Mega Man's base formula is enough to keep me interested and engaged in the game for me to enjoy what's there. Even with some of the Mega Man games that feel "samey", I don't think it's a terrible thing. When you have many different franchises feeling like they constantly need a fresh new coat of paint every game, Mega Man is one of those rare series where being similar is what makes it Mega Man to me. Sure, some games benefit from interesting design overhauls, but sometimes the small QOL changes goes a long way. tl;dr - I argue you don't need much to make a Mega Man game since it's design is pretty Phenomenal and Iconic as is. But it seems that Capcom would rather rope fans with collections and collaborations instead. They just lazy imo.
Haha, oh shiiit. Didn't think anyone would notice. I played A LOOOT of base PSO2 when it came globally. Unfortunately I stopped playing when Sega pretty muched metaphorically axed the base game in favor of NG. 😭

To be honest, i think Mega Man X has the potential to be a great tv show, whether it's live action or animated
