Inveraray and District wins Scottish Grade One Championship

The Scottish Pipe Band Championships were held in Levengrove Park in Dumbarton on 29 July 217. The winner of the Grade One competition was Inveraray and District Pipe Band under the leadership of Pipe Major Stuart Liddell and Leading Drummer Steven McWhirter.
This year it was a medley contest and the band's medley comprised the following tunes:

The Islay Ball
Jig of Slurs
Skye
She moved through the Fair

Fantastic playing, Precision and Cadence. Though I am English by birth, ( shut it ) a Scottish couple kept my Mum and Auntie safe during the WWII and I will never forget their love and affection almost 70 years on

I believe that I saw PM Liddell rehearsing this tune [ 3: 50 ] in another video. It's not suprising , after watching that rehearsal, that this performance was close to perfection!
