To me, Suchet IS Poirot. When I first saw him as Poirot, I was gobsmacked because it felt like the character I've read in elementary school just came alive, straight out of the books!
I miss him as Poirot, too. There is no other Poirot.
His real voice is so beautiful
It really is so smooth, gentle, beautiful, always floors me
We all miss you David Suchet as Poirot. Thank goodness for dvds. You are brilliant in any role you play, but of course you will always be the legend that is Poirot.
The best Poirot created evwr. A great actor. Very loved all over the world. ❤
Evet. Ben türkiyede yaşıyorum.
Thank god four David Suchet!!!
Thank you Mr. Suchet for making Poirot so real :-). Though it took me a while to recognize the Poirot in the Suchet in this video, Suchet himself is so humble and delightful to listen to.
Yes, that last episode was a heartbreaker; thought they might lead us to believe he was dead, and bring him back❤❤❤
There is Sir David Suchet as Poirot ... and then there's everybody else.
I had the absolute pleasure to meet him recently. Genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met
All respect to David Branagh’s take on the role, but Suchet owned Poirot. If you haven’t already seen it, another one to check out is Suchet playing the eponymous ‘Blott’ in the BBC’s ‘Blott on the Landscape’. Brilliant.
Kenneth Branagh
also David Suchet dislikes the idea of owning a role
We miss you too. We can bring him back, with the lost cases.
They were good days. My heart bleeds for you my lonely friend captain hastings...David sir you were destined to play poirot.i saw all episodes. You played it excellently.i was not prepared for last episode.
Loved him as Joe Keller!
We also miss you !
And I thought it was only me who did not want to watch the episode where Poirot ..... dies.
I can't ...
So much better than branagh’s overwrought garbage
I have never watched 'Curtain' ... and probably or possibly never will. I may watch it if I am specifically aware of when my own 'Curtain' will fall.
Me he visto casi todas sus actuaciones como Hercules Poirot,me he enamorado de su actuacion, y me dio mucha pena en capitulo cuando este detective Belga fallece..llegue a emocionarme mucho.
What is done is done, and what is underdone is underdone. What is perfectly done is Suchet's Poirot, what is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay underdone is Kenneth Brannagh's Poirot.
So many more episodes could have been made. The greatest mistakes of the BBC. Netflix wouldn't miss it. Forever lost to us 😢😢😢 it was most unnatural having Ustinov as Poirot and Suchet as a police intspector. The best of the best Suchet.
❤
Suchet is Poirot as Brett is Holmes. They were just born to do those. End of story...
хочу подякувати за офігенний фільм класичний детектив і за офігенно зіграну роль Пуаро Ви неперевершений !!!
Well, based on what I've heard about the movie from those who have seen it, they should have let Sir David do it!
What if David Suchet Narrated UK Dub Of Thomas & Friends
I wonder why on earth David Suchet has not been cast to play a supporting character in the new Kenneth Branagh versions of Poirot in the recent Agatha Christie adaptations. I'm not suggesting that he play 'Poirot' in them (because Branagh is going to take the role) but I would love to see him HONORED for his Poirot legacy in the new adaptations. Perhaps Branagh has asked him and he has declined. But, I'd love to know.
He would never do it
im too lazy to press p lay but im gonna do it anyway
:)
اون پوارو هست و پوآرو خواهد ماند از مدرسه میومدیم و خونه و سریال پوآرو رو با اشتیاق میدیدیم یادش بخیر ❤
i bet it takes a moral actor to play such an ethical sleuth so well, kept me civil, and after watching this, i don't have to bet anymore
David Suched fantastico attore nella parte di Poirot anche i film li guardo sempre su top crime canale 39
I don't think David has a brother called David
I wish they would finally cast David Suchet for the movies about Poirot - he'd show how it's done!.... Because Kenneth Branagh is God awful.... AWFUL!!!!!! Branagh is the worst Poirot ever.
Needs a shave.
He hates Philip
I love Suchet, but I find it rather odd that he claims he was following Christie's writings in his portrayal of the character, and yet he is balding, with a small mustache, and is ridiculously religious, none of which were prevelant in the stories! I wouldn't mind except he threw a fit over one suit that was wrong for Poirot, yet he played the character rather differently than what is in the books and DIDN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT! In The Double Clue he played Poirot like a 12 year old boy with his first crush, this is NOT what Christie wrote, and I feel she would have been disappointed by how Suchet made fun of the character. Suchet played the character as a serious man, while book Poirot smiled and told jokes. Suchet played the character like a fool in Evil Under the Sun and Hickory Dickory Dock with his food preferences, and didn't complain once about it! He even went so far as to claim that his performance as Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express was exactly like what Christie wrote, yet his performance shows an ugly-spirited, angry, disgruntled, overly religious twit. Poirot NEVER grappled with his conscience in MOTOE. Poirot NEVER sat around contemplating what to do with perpetrators while angrily clutching his rosary, as if this overly religious, Catholic man forgot how to use a rosary. What REALLY gets my meat in a stew is the fact that he said he wanted to present the story, and Poirot, in a truly accurate fashion! WHAT?!? Did he read a different version of the book than the rest of the world?
I can accept that Suchet took the character in his own direction. I DON'T like that he claims that Rosalind Hicks thought her mother would love his performance (this story changes each time Suchet tells it), and that Suchet tells everyone he is the most faithful to the books, while playing the character off book! I don't know what Hicks did or didn't say to him, but the fact that the story keeps changing with each telling is significant.
