Move the rug in just a little. Like maybe 2 inches. Leave space because you can buy 2 end tables for a lamp and coasters for your coffee to get spilled over by the kids. So fun 🤣🤣🤣🤣 no seriously..end tables. They serve a use but also will look good in the space.

Love your longer videos! I think the space is bigger and the couch doesn’t need to be pushed up to the wall. How it was set up before you moved in the rug actually looked pretty good! Maybe leave like 2 feet of space between the wall and the couch, line up the rug with the back of the couch.
I think the carpet looks good with the recliner on it. It will protect the floor. If you move the recliner, then I would move the carpet further under the sofa

Scoot the rug back a tiny bit but then just put the chair over the overhang and it won’t seem too bad! It’s sooo beautiful congratulations !!
