You're very welcome, and happy that they're helping you!
As someone who loves hummingbirds, and toucans too, this video was special. Also, I didn't know about antpittas. They're so tiny and pretty
The elevated forest landscape is so beautiful.
Seeing a passionate birder, especially a young one who is still early in their journey, receive a nice pair of bins will never not be heartwarming.
Love the series.
THANKS for your words!!!
glad you enjoyed!
Wow! Wonderful!
GLAD YOU LIKED IT!
Loved this episode. Got a little teary watching the joy in the young birder’s face when he got his new binoculars. That Bicolored Antpitta has such long legs!! Really unusual.

Thank you, Judy, what a lovely comment ☺️ so happy you're enjoying the show, there's a lot more to come!
Great episode! The sites above Manizales have come a long way over the last decade, so great to see them getting some deserved attention. If anyone watching this has never been, don't hesitate to book a trip to this area, it's fantastic.
it is fantastic indeed!
That is the same thing that happens in Brazil. We simply don't have binoculars stores. The cheap one we find are bad to the eyes... It was so cool to see such a gift! " "REGALAZO"!
epa... happy to be part of these REGALAZOS!!!
Thank you for sharing!!! I highly appreciate your work.
Thank you, Charley 😁
What a wonderful show, thank you for the beautiful virtual birding! Loved the birds, loved the scenery and especially loved the gifting of the binoculars to the young birder - thanks for helping him make his days of birding even more joyful.
Thank you. Our mission is to make the show to go beyond birding. It was a great moment for all of us!

Very good show, pittas in Colombia are beautiful too... Greetings from 🇮🇳
Your pittas are soooo beautiful, we'd love to go to India to film them one day! Our antpittas aren't so colourful but they're definitely still lovely! Cheers from Colombia :) and thanks for your comment
@@TheBirdersShow oh that's great... You're always welcome here and I would love to go out birding with you guys. Our pittas might be more colourful but I'm always jealous of your hummingbirds 😀
Amazing!!! Gracias por visitar nuestro sitio, nuestras aves, siempre Bienvenidos, your place here in the mountains 😁
¡gracias a ustedes Andrés hermano!
Awesome episode, i would like to know you guys someday, i am Ricardo, biologist, and birdwatching guide for caribbian north coast of colombia, so i love birds.
i want to know all country birds spots like you . congrats
Hi Ricardo! Thanks for your comment and we're glad you enjoyed the episode. Hopefully we can bird together sometime on the Caribbean coast we'd love to bring The Birders Show there someday soon :)
This birds it’s like a watching magical Disney cartoons, and you are a 7-year child sitting in front of tv after a school. Especially for European birder’s (I don’t even talk about northern part, like Russia)
GRAND!
Wonderful show! Thanks to the entire team, and especially Kowa for helping us support passionate young birders. I love that moment of realization: “you’re giving those binoculars to me!” Perfect.
GLAD you liked it mate!

I love Hacienda El Bosque and Juan Martín is such a great guy! Loved the hummingbird section...but my heart started to pound when you guys started to run to see the White-capped! Such a true heart-pounding experience captured what it's like running to get a species. Love it!
jaja.. indeed.. and totally real and natural that was!!!
wonderful show, watching calling out the bird just like feeding poultry really hilarious but also amazing feeling in the same time
17 years old love birds in its own habitat to grow them up for future but not making youtube on bird hunt, fabulous boy
feeding birds is the new thing... and if it helps conservation, it is welcomed
Truly enjoyed it guys! 🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨 keep on birding 🦜🦅🦉...all the Best 🖐👍
Thanks so much Jairo, we really appreciate it and glad you enjoyed it :)
gracias Jairo!
Really good episode guys. So nice to see some familiar faces and great birds. Keep up the great work! 😎
Thank you Glenn!
thanks Glenn mate... we need you for an interview for a future episode... maybe one in the field ;-) that would be grand!
The birds in your guys vids are beyond mind blowing of course but it is so incredibly cool of you guys to give a pair of bins away to a budding ornithologist! Well done Diego, Chris and Kowa!
THANKS...
you guys are great! Wish I could bird with you some day.
come visit!
It's on my bucket list. I know people in Medellin, so another incentive. Also, you are welcome to visit/bird in Cairns Australia. @@diegoCOLbirding
@@ScottRitchie-bw9lslet me know when you coming mate!!! I will let you know when we going to Australia! 👊
Love when you give the young Birders their own pair of Binoculars! Great episode can’t wait for the next one.
thanks Jim !
I love your videos so much!!!! Thank you for sharing such lovely images and your passion for birds and nature!!!!! 🐦❤💚💙
Thank you so much, Alicia! I'm so happy you enjoy them
What a great channel, thank you for this content. Could you recommend a book on understanding the taxonomy of the hummingbirds. A book that explains what a Sylph is or what makes a Woodstar a Woodstar. I'm from USA Georgia all we have are Ruby Throated Hummers. Also what tripods do you use?
for our scopes we use Gitzo and Manfrotto and Swarosvki tripods.. ALL carbon fiber...
...and the book on Hummers?
mmmhh, @@eridu77 weird, I replied to you yesterday about it... there is not single book that will explain you that... if you go to BIRDS OF THE WORLD online (cornell HBW) and hit the Trochilidae page, you will see all genera and that will give you a better idea of differences between main types of hummers... also, some extra reading could be JON DUNN book on hummers THE GLITTER IN THE GREEN and GlennBartley's SUPERB book "HUMMINGBIRDS: A CELEBRATION OF NATURE'S JEWELS"
Another great video. Again, incredible birds and great footage. I am a bit obsessed right now with the quality of image that you are getting by simply putting your cellphone to the scope. Is that because of the quality of the scope itself or is it because you got great light and are experienced at getting a wonderful image?
Thank you, Jeffrey. So glad you enjoy the videos 😁 as for the digiscoping videos, it’s a combination of factors really: the closer the bird and the better the light, the better the video for sure. These toucans were close and the light was pretty good. But the combo of phone camera and scope quality is also super important: this was shot on the Kowa TSN-88 with an iPhone, so that combined quality gets me pretty good images.
@@TheBirdersShow Thanks for letting me know. I'll give it a try soon in Brazil. Can't wait to experiment!
hope you have enjoyed DIGISCOPING@@JeffreyOakarPhotos !!
It's a shame that you encourage people to feed wild birds for the pure entertainment of so-called birders who do not have the spirit to fail in searching for an exciting species... that is precisely what all is about in this wonderful activity!! treating them almost as pets... I love the channel but sorry, this is not birding.
@Javier Evan mate, indeed I also get bored birding at feeders... I much rather prefer real habitat birding, looking for skulky jobs and in natural conditions... but hey, a lot of these places feeding birds have allowed normal non-birding people to get closer and in awe with the birds so all in all, a win win... that's one of the magic of birds: they please each of us on a specific/different way and that's what makes them special 🙌
