@@ChrisBell01 OMG how did I not realize that you were involved in this? You were one of the first persons that I followed on Instagram! Thank you so much for what you do to promote (Colombia), my beloved birthplace. I will be going to (Colombia) frequently because my mom is moving there and at some point I would love to meet with you. Peace and keep promoting (Colombia)!
@@Xpat2b thank you, that's such a lovely thing to read 😄I've been living happily in Colombia for such a long time and I love to give back in any way I can. And yes, hopefully we can go birding when you next come

Thanks so much, Benjamin! Glad you enjoyed and that you found us 😁
Awsome episode😊👍
Cheers Eddy, thanks for watching and subscribing, we all really appreciate it
thanks!
This is a great episode- I really enjoyed it! It's got a little bit of an Anthonhy Bourdain feel to it- using birds (in his case food) as a means to unlock conversation about the culture and lifestyle of a region. Works for me.
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it and the Bourdain comparison is definitely flattering for all of us involved. More to come from Caldas!
loved your comments mate!
@@diegoCOLbirding I really need to get to Colombia! I've been to the Darien twice in the past year- ready to head further south!
@@mcooper1160 let me know when you feel like coming birding to Colombia mate 🙌
Awesome video! Congratulations and thanks for bringing Columbian bird diversity to us..
Thanks for commenting, and I'm so happy you enjoyed the new episode. Spread the word 😄
thanks!
Acabo de descubrir este canal y me encanto este episodio. Me trae de vuelta a Colombia. Me hace querer trabajar para la conservación de nuestros recursos. La educación es muy importante.❤ Gracias!
que belleza... gracias por tus palabras!
Another great episode from a great series. I loved the short section on the Parker's Antbird; I watched this episode almost exactly 29 years after the great Ted Parker died in a plane accident doing an Rapid Ecological Assessment : -(
Thanks for watching Charles; glad you enjoyed it. That antbird was a tricky one to film for sure! And what a loss Ted Parker was to the world of ornithology and birding, it's quite remarkable when you're using eBird or Merlin in the Neotropics, how many of the field recordings are his, and usually of the rarest, most elusive birds. A true great.
Charles hermano, una putería de pájaro TODOS los parkeri!!! nos vemos el otro año pues
You guys are amazing and helpful to the locals specially with kids. Kudos and more power
gracias!
Thanks guys another great show a passion is the key👍
Absolutely! It's all about passion. Thanks for watching :)
Thank you! I love the documentary. Very grateful to belong to this beautiful country.
un abrazo querida!
This is such a wonderful show thanks for bringing us these amazing birds and communities 🙏 Maybe you’ll manage to do one here in Australia one day.
Hi Ruben! Thanks for your comment. And we hope we make it to Australia one day too, that would be a real dream come true!
I love birds, Thanks for visiting my beautiful colombia 🇨🇴 greetings from USA 🇺🇲
¡saludos hermano!
Another incredible episode. I love watching the kids get their bins! What a tremendous way to inspire their life-long love of birding. Great job!
Thanks, Judy. We're glad you enjoyed it 😁
Fantastic show once again guys! Thank you so much for these!
You're very welcome Michael, glad you're enjoying the new episodes :)
This is an AMAZING video - in every way!!! Warmest congratulations from Greece!
Thank you so much Vassiliki, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Spread the word ;)
thanks!
Your production quality shows. These have got to cost a fortune to produce. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You are not only great ambassadors for birding, but also for the nation of Columbia.
Thank you Ed! Until Kowa offered to support us in this episode and Tranquilo Bay in the Panama episodes this has been a labor of love, with our production company WhereNext covering the cost of the shows to keep the good birding vibes in our office and community!
not cheap indeed! we need more support if you have any ideas...
What a nice and natural way to show and explain a beautiful part of my treasured country!!! 🥰🇨🇴💛💛💙❤️🇨🇴🥰
Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice content!
Glad you think so!
The verdure is unbelievable.
Isn't it! I had never seen so many varied shades of green until I moved to Colombia
come and see it! ;-)
13:54.......I would have liked to have known what books you are referring to.
AVIAFAUNA COLOMBIANA (birds of Colombia) by Fernando Ayerbe
13:48.................woodcreeper or woodpecker?
woodpecker indeed.. at least the scientific name was correct. ;-) THANKS!
Y para colombian@s cuándo? Se habla español..
tienen subtítulos en español Alba ;-)
I have spent time in Caldas (I lived in Colombia for over 6 years) and spent ample time in rural areas and let me say in the early morning the birds in Caldas in the coffee region sing in a way that is over the top deliriously magnificent. It's like Heaven. Please take this as constructive criticism. You're getting in the way. 15 minutes in and you only have permitted only extremely brief snippets of birds singing. Why don't you let people listen to the birds without constant music and/or endless commentary?
Great show. Please don't rename the CAWA. 😅😅 Dave from Canada
Hahaha, ok Dave, that seems fair. And thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it
jajajajajaja CAWA
I live in Colombian for 6 months a year in the coffee region for years. The birding like this is not affordable to the locals. WAY out of their budget. I even get to the point where I don't like to go because of the prices. Even the City of Manizales has locked the locals out of the water treatment plant here . This is where guys like this go for outrageous prices to fleece the tourists. The locals are locked out of their own land and birding. horrible.
