It's interesting how Kingdom Come Superman and Wonder Woman are different from their Injustice counterpart. Kingdom Come Superman retired instead of becoming a dictator after Lois Lane dies. Kingdom Come Wonder Woman became a full-time warrior when the Amazons took away her title as an ambassador for failing her mission.

I would like the new DCU focusing on issues like addressed in Kingdom Come, being better heroes. It would be interesting while also helping separate themselves from the become a better person focus of the MCU. Matt Reeves's Batman already leans towards this. In Bruce learning that being a Batman of vengeance is what inspired other villains. That he must be a better hero that inspires hope in Gotham. It would also aid in avoiding the over abundance of origin stories. Big names like Wonder Women, Superman, Flash, and Green Lantern can focus on them growing as heroes and improving the world that they protect. Rather than the decision to become heroes and how they got their powers.
I just bought this TP and the superman versus Shazam collection for my nephew lol I’m extremely hyped to listen to this while doing some gift wrapping 0:05
Kingdom come as a movie has to be given the avengers infinity war/endgame two movie treatments. If this is the direction of the new dcu to do this movie, the justice it deserves and mark waid has to be on board with it as the only writer who can add to this
I was literally looking for this on your Channel I watched ur stuff all the way back to Injustice Gods Among Us when I was a kid that was always my favorite video
This was the first trade i ever bought, i also have the og heroclix set from KC, it introduced me to the beauty that is alex ross' art and is one of the single most poignant comic stories ive ever read and truly feels like a modern day myth
Ah those Classic images of The Hall of Justice...and later on...the Legion of Doom prison. Alex Ross embraced the innocence of the 70's growing into the 80's...and then into the excess of the 90's...telling a Tale of Biblical and Fantasy proportions (all while showing "heroes" in how they'd look as normal humans. That's why I own this Amazing story in Hard Cover Graphic Novel. I can read it again and again and remember all that Was and all that Will be (hopefully)... A time when Heroes were that and Villains were that and Politics...were left to the normal peoples... James Gunn might be able to do this...if he paid attention or listens to us "older fans" who knew about the "guardian of the galaxy" little people because we first learned about them from X-Men comics in the 80's... They're all just supposed to be stories of "Hope" yet showing the fragile Darkness of the Human Soul. Thanks for this video, I may even turn from my comic books and go see a movie in the future... Perhaps...
I was looking for a comment about this. I wasn't sure they updated? My copy says Captain Marvel too. It's hard to change knowing how the series originally called him.
This should have been animated while Kevin Conroy was still alive. That and the parallax storyline where Hal Jordan went nuts after coast city was destroyed. They kinda touched on it in Beware my Power but I feel like it didn't live up to the comic.

@@comicstorian I can’t wait. Been a fan of yours since 2016. Keep up the good work!
One thing I love about this comic is the design it looks great
RIP 🙏
I just bought this TP and the superman versus Shazam collection for my nephew lol I’m extremely hyped to listen to this while doing some gift wrapping 0:05
Kingdom come as a movie has to be given the avengers infinity war/endgame two movie treatments. If this is the direction of the new dcu to do this movie, the justice it deserves and mark waid has to be on board with it as the only writer who can add to this
Rip legend ❤
the story is great but the art my god the art is one of a kind.
One of those classic storylines that I haven't gotten to yet. Thanks for the reading Benny
Not Gonna Lie. The thought that Kingdom Come is where Gunn wants to take the DCverse is the only reason I'm willing to give him a chance.
This video needs more views. Glad I discovered this channel
What is this amazing artwork?! Incredible
Alex Ross bro you got to check him out
I was literally looking for this on your Channel I watched ur stuff all the way back to Injustice Gods Among Us when I was a kid that was always my favorite video
Rest in peace….
This was the first trade i ever bought, i also have the og heroclix set from KC, it introduced me to the beauty that is alex ross' art and is one of the single most poignant comic stories ive ever read and truly feels like a modern day myth
Story's like this show that no matter what we think the boy scout heroes are the ones we need
I am so thankful you finally got under the Kingdom I cannot wait to hear it thank you so much.
Oh wow beautiful artwork
Perhaps...
Was waiting for this one for a long time and now can finally enjoy it, thanks for your hard work
RIP to Ben. You will never be forgotten❤
I love KC Supes so much! The Kingdom Come story and message is amazing!
I was looking for a comment about this. I wasn't sure they updated? My copy says Captain Marvel too. It's hard to change knowing how the series originally called him.
You have to read grown-up Billy Batson like Otis from Superman the Movie
Jeez, @Comicstorian, I like when you're shouting at my humble ears. You're really carrying what's going on.

You said it yourself that this comic is one of the best so what took you so long to cover it?
29:49 - Power Guuurhk.
I actually got asked what my Superman recommendation would be for a new reader. Kingdom Come came to mind. 😅. Thanks for having this video up.
This should have been animated while Kevin Conroy was still alive. That and the parallax storyline where Hal Jordan went nuts after coast city was destroyed. They kinda touched on it in Beware my Power but I feel like it didn't live up to the comic.
