Hi everyone, Ash you must be so proud of your dad, he’s not only a hard worker,he’s also supporting yours Ash & Terry’s dream! I love how you approach huge problems you come across Terry 😱 you work it out & get on with it!Your all just amazing honestly !!! Take care lots of love 🥰💕
You are fortunate to have Graham who is able to fill the void of Tony. He seems very skilled and extremely helpful as well. What a great valuable gift your family is!
I'm sorry to see Graham go so soon, but the poor man needs a break to recover. What a glorious worker he is. Your progress has greatly advanced with his assistance. Everyone at Lalacelle is so hard working. God bless you all.
I can't stop thinking how lucky you have been in being able to do all the work yourselves and having other family members to assist. It is truly a "family affair".
Thank heaven you found the huge problem, and immediately tackled it. I feel it's a miracle 🙏 that with all the weight of the furnishings and the massive construction above that area, the floor/ceiling did not collapse. Graham is invaluable....how wonderful it is that he helps with whatever needs doing. As usual working as a team brings huge rewards. WELL DONE.🌟🌟
Thank goodness Graham was able to give you a hand Terry you guys did a terrific job. Those rotting beams were so far gone and what I liked about this video is it didn’t cost you as you already had the beams and bricks to repurpose. Awesome video thank you
I get so stressed out when I see these huge issues in your chateau. Then what relief I feel when you’ve fixed them! Chateau renovation is not for the meek and faint of heart! Bravo to all of you. I’m so amazed at your skill and hard work.
So glad you had Graham to help out. He’s a real gem. Pleased that you both take safety precautions as well by wearing hard hats and masking up. Well done!
Its incredible the amount of money you saved by having Graham and you two do the beam repairs yourselves. Ash is correct that it worth doing it right the first time and not worry for a lifetime. The destruction is truly horrific. Terry I wonder if the other windows are now more of a priority to make sure your third floor stays stable? Wonderful to show us the good and the bad. Your videos are so informative and so well edited.
Big thanks to Graham for coming over to do such needed work ❤ Great job guys, you and your future guests can sleep well for years knowing the repairs have been properly done 😊
“Slap-dash” is absolutely not part of the vocabulary of the Dream Team! Wonderful to see those totally knackered beams being replaced. Seeing them reminded me of something Sean said on the Petherick channel: “The only thing holding those beams together was the woodworm holding hands!” Very satisfying video, as always. Thank you chaps!
My late father would be impressed by the care you're taking to do the job properly, short cuts as you said might last 5 years or so but then it would all have to have come down, twice the work and expense. My father's motto was to do it properly or not at all, it was frustrating long-winded and drove me nuts lol, but I never had to revisit what he had done. Be immensely proud of yourselves xxx
Terry I love your enthusiasm and how positive you really are when you take on a project. You just carry on and follow through and keep a positive attitude about all of it and this just proves it. Graham has been such a great help to you all in the last few weeks and his hard work ethic is the same as all of you, and it just goes to show if you work within a team jobs get done! Bravo all!!!
Dry rot is always a huge concern, but is expected when there had been so much water penetration during the chateau’s abandonment. Great that you all have so much skill and that you had replacement materials in other rooms. Nice to watch Graham giving a hand as he seems to be a very hard worker as well!🥰
Its continuous hard work but so worth doing it well now and knowing it is done and completely safe. Graham is a great help and hope he returns again soon. Keep up the great work all of you 💕🇦🇺
If only degrading wood could be turned into gold , you'd be super rich. 😁 With the skills you guys have nothing is beyond repair for you. How wonderful is that. Graham is a super support for all the tasks you have to complete, nice man!
I’m going to miss seeing Graham. He’s helped to get a lot of big jobs accomplished. Safe travels Graham. It’s almost unthinkable how bad the wood rot is and how necessary it was for you to replace the beams. Will you have to do the same on every window around the chateau? As you said it now gives you peace of mind to know that it’s all sturdy and safe. Stay safe and hugs. xx
My heart goes out to you all. Big hugs. I just wanted to reach through the tv and give you a big hug !!!!! absolutely love the work you guys are doing and continue to look forward to the next flocks.
Excellent work. It is so interesting to see how much work you have put in to restoring that wonderful chateaux. Terry, I find your narration very calming and your smile always lights up when a project has been successfully completed..
Two very difficult jobs completed during this episode. Congratulations to you all, but especially to Graham for all the projects he was able to work on during his stay at the château. 👏👏 Looing forward as always to the next episode. 🙂
The attention to detail you guys put into your work to ensure stability and longevity within the chateau is remarkable.!! I love watching you all uncover the damage, repairing and repurposing materials to breathe new life back into your home. it's what i look forward to each episode. Well done. xx
Love it when Terry said he just popped upstairs to get some beams. Sounds like my house! LOL It's called maximizing storage, isn't it? So glad you're wearing hard hats near those rotted beams. Jonathan will have a great time playing with those and showing his friends. Graham is wonderful. 🤩Every person added exponentially increased the amount that gets accomplished. You make my day when I see your posts as you have interesting projects you approach with creativity and passion; and the love you share among you.
OH MY...what a job! that looks scary...but you and Graham are doing an excellent job. Your chateau is in good hands. You are so blessed to have each other with conquering one task at a time and not even crying in your drinks. I'm sure the soul of your chateau is smiling and radiating love to you all for bringing her back to life in her glory.
Good heavens that was great to find that out now! No slapdashing going on in this chateau!😂 I just admire so much that you reuse every single bit that you can, well done and very smart! Hope to see you again soon Graham!❤ Have a great weekend Terry and Ash. Give Mom Tracy a hug from me!❤😊
It's good that you are getting that sorted... Certainly needed doing. Those beams were just a mess. Glad to see you wearing masks and such as you wouldn't want that in your lungs. Great job taking care of that and just tackling it. Can't wait to see how it all turns out. Keep up the good work.
What a job! Thank to Graham for the help and it’s incredible how much those windows needed to restore their frames. Really amazing. As usual, you guys are my heroes! ❤❤❤
I fear you will face these challenges in every room in your chateau. Unfortunately the woodworm is bound to be everywhere in untreated wood. I so admire how you all keep ploughing on with the work. I doffs me cap to you all. 🎩🧢👒
A 2nd comment, just to say thank you for sharing your journey with us all. It really makes my day watching these vlogs... big smiles, huge respect for each and every one of you🙏
You continually amaze me with your ability to fix anything! And with the state those beams were in, what a happy surprise that the chateau hadn't fallen down. This was another great video.😃
You always tackle problems together and rely on each other’s strengths. I admire all of you. Whatever the future brings, with or without Tony, I know you will meet it united and stronger together. Sending you all a huge hug! ❤️
You should keep a sample of the beam to show people who come to the chateau for like a tour .. it's amazing what your family has done ❤ maybe use a small room near the entrance way to show "parts of relics" of what it was like when you needed to update home .. best of luck
Great job repairing the windows. Good thing you discovered it now before the renovation. Sorry to see Graham go but wishing him safe travels. Hope he returns soon. Thanks for sharing 😍😘
I swear, if I EVER make it to France from Canada, I am going to be knocking on your door, picking up a tool and making a right nuisance of myself. Good thing you all know what you're doing, I wouldn't have a clue ...🥰🥰xx
I’m so sad to see Graham go, for some reason, his quiet strength adds such a calming effect to the atmosphere when I’m watching. Plus he must be such a huggable dad 😊 (Cataract op on June 7 so I’ll be able to read all the comment) We all are with you 100% in everything you do, the ups and downs having gone through similar ourselves at time. I can’t send enough love and hugs just know you are ALL in my thoughts. Keep wearing those hard hats, you’ll have to get one for Patrick 💕🐥💕 🐥Alex in Florida
Goodness, the bad state that main beam was in was scary. I love the large terrace garden and view of the château that we see in the parting shot now that all those trees and shrubs are gone.

Wonderful job! Great of you to call out to everyone about “Journey to the Chateau” they hit 20K finally! I’ve been watching them since they started and it is so wonderful to see more people join in the fun.
Absolutely loved the format of this video! I feel like I could really see all the work you have gotten done, and could easily see what you we’re talking about. So glad Graham was there to help. I feel like every time a job looked too daunting, Graham swooped in like a super hero. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Such a tough job, but you boys are doing great work! What a hard-working family and the beauty of the work just shows through splendidly! I'm so in awe.

And the window survived lol. Great job!
You should have a lottery to see who gets to have the honour of being the first first guest in the 400 suite. 👍
