Making beads rings for beginners | simple wire jewelry 1032

You can change the size or color of the beads to create your own products.
You can flexibly change the material to suit the material you have or your purpose
materials I used :
beads : 3mm (crystal beads)
Soft copper wire
20 gauge ( wire diameter 0.8mm ) : 17cm ( about 7 inch)

First off let me say I love the rings, absolutely beautiful. Next I wonder if the 20 gauge is too soft could it be hammered on the mandrel with a rubber mallet to strengthen it? Or would it be simply better to use 18 gauge wire?

with my hand size, i think it is stiff enough, if you are worried you can flatten the wire to increase stiffness, or use 18 wire if the bead hole is big enough

I used to round copper wire have plating layer, and not dark by time.
If you use bare copper, it will be oxidized. You have to oxidize it, polish it, Then cover a layer of protection so that it doesn't change over time. that's a general rule, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet. Wish you success and make more beautiful products
