Stalactites!!! We used to wag every Wednesday 5th and 6th period, catch the train from Geelong just to have lunch with with boys in the late 90’s! I once told the owner I wanted to open one in Geelong when I was 16! In Three more weeks I will finally be opening an authentic Greek charcoal Souv joint after being in fish and chips all my life👌
I grew up in country NSW, and Sydney, and dimmies were always my go to snack, still as much so now when I feel like something a little nostalgic. Though invented in Melbourne, they're not that iconic in Melbourne, IMO.
Lune is too expensive and you have to wait in line for what, a regular French croissant? Brunetti is definitely not the best cafe in Melbourne but it's open late so there's that. South Melbourne dim sim, sure Australian but really not that delicious, not sure why you'd choose that over a pie or sausage roll for something actually Australian. Stallacites is overrated, there's so much better Greek food, especially if you just go down to Carnegie or Oakleigh.
Are you serious? The south Melbourne DIM SIMS. That’s the convulated aweful AUSSIEEE version of the Chinese SIU MY. Your tastebuds must be covered in………….!

The coffee at Brunetti is actually pretty poor compared to some of the specialist coffee shops in the cbd
Oh 1000% would agree there’s so many good coffees out there in Melbourne. But brunettis is just such a hotspot I feel!

@@DubEatsEverything Make sure you do 400 Gradi! Funny thing is, they make the BEST Potato Chips but they are not cheap!
South Melbourne Dim Sims are the OG sure. But they fall short of the Loi Eng Dim Sim in Ferntree Gully. Particularly the steamed.
A souv cost 20 bucks now? Damn talk about cost of living crisis.

Brunettis and Lune do not belong in this list and the meat pie does
Where’s best meat pie haha
Pie Thief or Daniels Donuts I reckon :)@@DubEatsEverything
Vietnamese bakeries make the best pies
the most australian iconic food is food from other countries? lol
Just the thought of being in Melbourne would be enough to put me off my food.
Hahah why??
@@DubEatsEverything I hate everything about the place.
Amazing food everywhere, bars, pubs, events. Melbourne’s incredible.
clearly you have never been to hollywoods in richmond, wow for a ethinc melbournite id thought you know better but hey millenials be millenials
What’s your point? I’ve been to Hollywoods years ago and the food was average at best. Hardly iconic like the foods Dub identified in this video.
