Couldnt agree more, whilst I actually quite enjoyed the World trillogy, even though it was more family friendly, the series needs to go back to its roots. The trouble with World was that it simply wasnt scary and didnt feel very Jurassic, enjoyable, but not scary, Jurassic or suspensful, even JP3 had more suspense but yeah, Edwards is the perfect fit to shoot this new movie, cannot wait!!

This was to compensate for the extreme bite force of the trex which is estimated to be over 30,000 newtons. Comparatively the giganotosaurus, who actually has blade-like teeth, has a much weaker 18,000 newtons of bite force. Sorry for the long comment, i really like dinosaurs.

After hearing the announcement that Gareth Edwards, the same man who directed my fav. american Godzilla film, the 2014 Godzilla, Rogue One, and The Creator, is going to helm Jurassic World 4, with a screenplay by David Koepp (who wrote the original two films, Spider man, Death becomes her, Panic room, Mission Impossible, etc.), with Scarlett Johansson in the lead role, i have better hopes for the film. I wasn't a big fan of either fallen kingdom or dominion, and knowing this film ignores (but doesn't retcon) those two, hopefully it turns out differently and delivers on something that i would've personally loved to have seen in the Jurassic World trilogy.
I still think its an absolute crime that there hasnt been a teiceratops or stegosaurus fight against a carnivore in the movies. Sure the anky fought the indominus for 2 seconds and the brief carno fight in FK, but they tend to focus carni v carni. Lets get some herbi v carni

It sounds like a predator movie and also an idea from the lost world novel, this idea was once suggested by Lewis Dodgson in the second novel and it's not crazy, if it's going to be like this I will love it very much.

Gareth Edwards, biggest strength as a filmmaker is that he knows how to make things look big. So he’s a perfect fit for a movie about giant bird lizards eating people

I’d like a prequel set between 2-3, but it does look like it’s definitely after dominion. I love Sorna and the abandoned facilities. But it could be anywhere. The CGI models are complete, but they’ve still to render those models into the movie etc. I am so excited to see what Edwards does with this and that Koepp’s script is as good as it’s been rumoured to be.
Can I say that When Monarch Legacy of Monsters season 2 comes out, I hope we see some practical effects for some of the monsters on skull island like a Stan Winston studio made animatronic Death Jackal, Icarus Tiger, Maybe even a Siren Jaw 🤩🤩🤩

I'm still pretty wary of this. The last two movies burned me pretty bad and given how Universal as a tendency to play things safe and unambitious, I have little faith in this. Besides, JA Bayona wanted a bold and semi-artsy direction for Fallen Kingdom but Universal forced a dumb bombastic tone which resulted in a tonal mess. Why should I think this wouldn't happen again?
Me too. Not getting my hopes up until I actually watch this movie. But I will say, Fallen Kingdom - despite it's flaws - I think still pretty good and underrated, I like to compare it to The Lost World when it came out. It didn't recejve praise like it's predecessor, but time foward and we love the movie. But Dominion is a mess - they had something great to work on and just beefed real hard (I like to think they could just have had a two part movie - part one about the problems of dinos in mainland and people trying to coexist, part two biosyn pulling the strings and the characters trying to stop them

An interesting concept that I feel could fit with all the puzzle pieces we have (although I think it’s unlikely because it doesn’t fit with the film’s continuity), it would be neat to see a film kinda like the original ending of the novel. Where dinosaurs got onto the mainland DURING the events of Jurassic Park, and the Coasta Rican government arrests Grant and the others that were on the island until it gets taken care of. I didn’t read the Lost World, but something like that would be neat.

Jurassic City seems an odd name since all of the locations have been remote and tropical locales. But if it’s got something to do with the ancient ruins we’ve seen from time to time, that should be fun! As a sort of Lara Croft meets Trespasser kind of film, and I hope this is not the only film that Gareth had in him.
I wouldn't be interested in this movie at all if weren't for the fact that Gareth Edwards was helming the project. Dude really knows how to elevate the work. And with Koepp writing the story, this could potentially be the best JP/JW movie since the original.
This film by the sounds of it looks like it going to be super awesome with a fantastic director, the return of a writer and a great film crew & actors. My sister is a big Jurassic Park fan as she been to see the first film and she will be amazed how good this new is going to be.

The teenage actors remind me of Arby and Kelly from the LWJP book. I wonder if we will have a lost world Jp type film closer to the book, set after the LWJP film
I kinda hope we're going to see some of the other islands that are mentioned (There are 5 altogether including Sorna and Nublar I think?) but I'll probably enjoy it either way unless they astronomically screw it up
I was very fortunate to have seen Jurassic Park in theaters the day it came out. It was the first film I ever saw in theaters too. It unfortunately made me critical of so much garbage films that have come out since with bigger budgets. I really hope Jurassic Park gets done some justice it deserves. I've not enjoyed the last 3 films.
Some things I need: blue being a murderer again, a T-Rex winning a battle by itself, more mosasaurus content, new hybrids, also why isn’t the movie focused on the giganotasaurus till the end (dominion)? Oh also blue finding a new pack with different types of raptors would be sick
If the rex isnt gonna be in the movie or the small possibility based on where it is in the timeline then perhaps other large theropods could be used like mapusaurus, tyranotitan, and acrocanthosaurus or even saurophaginax. Torvosaurus would be a good addition to a movie as well.
With someone a big fan of the OG JP I truly hope that this film is a return to form, giving great action in the context of a meaningful philosophical lesson. I think that's why the first JP was so widely loved, because it had something meaningful to say and the other films in the franchise didn't really hit that mark since. Hopefully with the director being a fan of the OG series and with other films like Godzilla: Minus One with a similar philosophical message doing great at the box office, JW4 (JP7) will pick up the mantel.
With the director I'm hyped. Edwards can do some fantastic work and I'm excited to see how he handles a new Jurrassic Park movie. Writer...I'm a bit mixed. I thought the Dial of Destiny was pretty awful. But he has done good stuff in the past. So hopefully...he channels more of than his latest works.
@@DangerVille he has a lot of connections. But Kathleen Kennedy used to be one of the most financially successful producers in the world too. And that good will has been dead for a while. I could be wrong though and the movie is great. But I sense the trend will continue.

Jurassic Park is a human based drama, there’s only a few minutes of actual dinosaurs. Same goes for Godzilla 2014.

This film by the sounds of it looks like it going to be super awesome with a fantastic director, the return of a writer and a great film crew & actors. My sister is a big Jurassic Park fan as she been to see the first film and she will be amazed how good this new is going to be.
Less people, more dinosaurs, less side stories ans more dinosaur lore.

I kinda hope we're going to see some of the other islands that are mentioned (There are 5 altogether including Sorna and Nublar I think?) but I'll probably enjoy it either way unless they astronomically screw it up
I was very fortunate to have seen Jurassic Park in theaters the day it came out. It was the first film I ever saw in theaters too. It unfortunately made me critical of so much garbage films that have come out since with bigger budgets. I really hope Jurassic Park gets done some justice it deserves. I've not enjoyed the last 3 films.
Some things I need: blue being a murderer again, a T-Rex winning a battle by itself, more mosasaurus content, new hybrids, also why isn’t the movie focused on the giganotasaurus till the end (dominion)?
Oh also blue finding a new pack with different types of raptors would be sick
If the rex isnt gonna be in the movie or the small possibility based on where it is in the timeline then perhaps other large theropods could be used like mapusaurus, tyranotitan, and acrocanthosaurus or even saurophaginax. Torvosaurus would be a good addition to a movie as well.
Seeing new carnivores and herbivores would be awesome. Seeing larger theropods would be nice
With someone a big fan of the OG JP I truly hope that this film is a return to form, giving great action in the context of a meaningful philosophical lesson. I think that's why the first JP was so widely loved, because it had something meaningful to say and the other films in the franchise didn't really hit that mark since. Hopefully with the director being a fan of the OG series and with other films like Godzilla: Minus One with a similar philosophical message doing great at the box office, JW4 (JP7) will pick up the mantel.

With the director I'm hyped. Edwards can do some fantastic work and I'm excited to see how he handles a new Jurrassic Park movie.
Writer...I'm a bit mixed. I thought the Dial of Destiny was pretty awful. But he has done good stuff in the past. So hopefully...he channels more of than his latest works.
