I have a 19 month old GSD who we have successfully trained to be stable and non-reactive. This took many hours and is exactly as you have described in this video, the main thing we found that helped was physical exercise morning and night (ball throwing) and mental games (find it - interactive feeding games or putting small pieces of high value treats in sniff boxes and get them to find it in the house). GSD's love both of these activities with consistent patience and training I believe all can be great dogs. My dog no longer needs a crate btw so all of this leads to a place where the dog and owner are all happy. Great video guys, I really appreciated the trainers calm demeanour too which i'm sure is picked up by the dog. Well done to the trainer and the dog.

Great video! Our Lab-Pei foster is just like this. We rescued him from a neighbor who abandoned him after much neglect. He has the SharPei stubborn independent personality with Lab anxiety/energy. That mixed with him having ZERO expectations or structure or training from his neglectful owners means this has been the most challenging dog we've ever encountered.

    Thanks for the video.
What is your own dog's breed? Is he GSD?

It all goes back to breeders. Why do breeders sell Power breeds to family homes, without explaining all this?
