What is QFN IC?
QFN stands for quad flat no-lead package. It is a leadless package that comes in small size and offers moderate heat dissipation in PCBs. Like any other IC package, the function of a QFN package is to connect the silicon die of the IC to the circuit board.

That's a very good way to rip off the pads! You don't actually need to drag the solder wick across the pads like that. Simply lay the wick over the entire row and move your soldering iron down the wick. It's just an unnecessary risk when there's a better way
