@@GMANS_BIKES_CARS I have ridden the 2019 1290 today and I REALLY like it. Haven't ridden the M1200S yet. Ride a Hypermotard 1100EVO atm. But there is too much turbulence for me and I liked the hooliganism for 2 years but want the option for a little more refining every now and then xD. On the 1290R I LOVED about everything. The wind is also wtf?! I can do like 120kmh with ease, wouldn't even need earbuds! It's such a nice and constant draft. Dunnow how they did it. Thinking about getting a 2017/2018 SD all black. However I am a HUGE Ducati fan, but haven't driven the M1200S yet. You have a video talking about the differences as well?
Need to get the SDR run in then I’ll ride it and do a comparison video, I think the SDR headlight shape is something to do with the good wind turbulence 👍
I am torn between the Monster 1200 R and the 1290 Super Duke R. Please help me understand the main differences and which one rides better and has a more even power delivery. Please!
Hi buddy, having never ridden a monster R I cannot really comment on which is better, unless you are going to ride on track i world go for the Monster S over the R anytime and the S has way better spec then the R, I loved ridding my bro’s Super Duke R and I think it’s maybe a better all rounder than the Monster S/R, only you ridding both will let you know what you prefers! Which ever you choose both are superb bikes 👍🏍
very nice video as always mate, so in one of you videos you said you almost chose the Super Duke R over the Monster, but in the end you went with the monster. Did you ever regret that decision? I'm also looking for my first big bike next year and for me there are only two bikes, the Monster 1200S and the 1290 Super Duke R. At the moment I'm completely falling in love with the looks and sounds of the Monster 1200S but on the other hand the 1290 also looks and sounds stunning. Do you have any tips for me what to choose?
Hi mate, hard picking between 2 such great bikes, both have their + & -‘s the super Duke is taller and you fell more on the bike where as the Monster you feel more in the bike if you get what i mean? Gear box feels slightly better in the KTM and KTM feels lighter then monster oddly, but for some reason I prefer the monster cannot even explain why, I guess only you riding them both in the same bit of road are you going to see which one you prefer, did you see this video when I rode the KTM in Spain, worth a look, sorry I wasn’t anymore help 😬 ua-cam.com/video/V4u0yVRgsOw/v-deo.html
Thanks for your reply, I think I know what you're trying to say, somehow to me, Ducati's are more fascinating than other bikes, but I heard a lot of bad and good talking about the reliability. Looks like I have to take a ride with both of them and get the bike which gives me the bigger smile underneath my helmet :)
All of us guys have never really had any issues with reliability with our Ducati’s, since Audi got involved they seem as good as any other bike on the market, my fuel gauge played up but is now ok, but that’s it 👍
Both great bikes mate, the Monster was superb on those roads just wasn’t quite as stable at the front end as the SDR, think it may need a steering damper 😬
I couldn’t work out if that was slow, then looked at the speedo, my goodness! So 90mph in 2nd gear? Wow!!! I’ve just purchased your exact bike but didn’t think they were that fast.
G-MAN'S Bikes & Bits thanks for your reply. Appreciate that! Yes, clearly hadn’t appreciated that. I’ll need to take it very easy. Thanks for sharing the video, very inspiring. Happy New Year!
In Spain they use kilometres per hour, not miles per hour. Road sign limits are in Km, so logic says they should have Km/h on their displays. (I am not saying that is what they have).
After coming back from that trip and riding the SDR I realised it’s more of a complete bike than the Monster in most ways, and I’m loving my new SDR and need to get it run in before I can properly compare it to the monster 😜
Hi, great front wheel view footage. How did you mount your action cam there?
Just a GoPro sticky mount and a side GoPro bracket
@@GMANS_BIKES_CARS
On radiator?
Yes buddy. On the silver radiator side section
i have seen you do this road before not watching it anymore getting with draw symptoms ..
Have you ridden your mates 1290r? I am looking at both and would love to hear the differences from someone who has ridden both...
Checkout my more recent videos as I now have a new SDR and have only ridden it twice but already loving it more than my old Monster 😜

@@GMANS_BIKES_CARS looking forward to it. Can't wait! In the meantime I'll keep searching for a 2017/2018 black one ;)

How long have you both been riding?
Hi mate, about 4years 👍
Can't you see the stabilisers on his super duke lol great ride buddies 👏🏻
Nice ride. Well done. Particularly love that monster

It’s a quick bike mate. Don’t under estimate it, can keep up with most bikes out there, enjoy yours 👍

@@pimpthyride But you can expect that the Bike is measuring in Km/h as well.. You don't drive a Monster with 145 km/h in second gear in a curve ;)
Which bike is better?
Both bikes have there good and bad points,,just personal choice at the end of the day, cannot go wrong with either 😜👍🏍💨
I love that run, great keep up the fantastic footage...
Cheers Les, 👍
Fantastic road, great bikes :)
Cheers buddy, we went up and down that stretch of road about 10 times 😜
@@GMANS_BIKES_CARS I would do the same ;)
How was the monster compared to the duke?

great road you lads had there
It wasn’t the longest section of road but we loved it, 👍
Fuck what a road.
Nice day
That was I think the best days riding I’ve ever done and the Monster was epic and totally held it’s own against the Super Duke R 😜
Seriously!? 🥱
I seriously am looking forward to seeing you riding on a road like that Andy, send me the link 👍🏻🤣🤣
