I use the kitty jail. In the bathroom are his water and food dishes and his litter box. He acts up....JAIL TIME!!!

Out of The Hat I would say just go to your local art store and ask for varnish for acrylic or oil painting and throw on a few layers

My room tour is Beauty and the Beast inspired a lot of people liked it but compare to all the minimalist room tours out there the reception for it doesn’t even compare. Tip: buy vintage/Antique stuff if you want to do something like this. It normally costs way less, looks more authentic and it's better for the planet!

For future reference, load your paint roller, make a W or M or N on the wall to distribute the loaded paint, then roll between the legs to spread. Source: my grandpa the professional painter.

Bonus tips:
1. If you have a video projector, use it to show the desired part of the sky while putting in the decorations.
2. For the shelves, it might have been easier to remove the shelves, put wallpaper behind and put the shelves back in. A cleanliness trick is to wrap each shelf in disposable (cheap) wallpaper that gets recycled every 3 to 10 years. Used to be popular in kitchen cabinets with food.
Tbh $2500 isn’t terrible when you consider that $300 of that was plexiglass 😂
That’s a Trading a Spaces budget for a room, minus the carpenter. You should feel awesome for that budget.

Hermes is a luxury brand. It's like the Ferrari of accessories. You don't see normal people driving Ferraris, same with people owning Hermes stuff. A single handbag costs thousands of dollars. That's why she didn't wear the scarf but hung it on the wall instead
That's why you shouldn't shop drunk (at least not retail, anyway), but she loves the scarf and it made her happy, so I guess it's all right:) Plus if you hang it on the wall, you get to enjoy it every day!

I’ve been buying and reselling Hermès foulards since I was in my late teens and you’d be amazed at how many people will pay above retail when the original is still available direct from Hermès!! I’ve heard people say they didn’t want to buy direct because of it showing up on credit cards (husbands keeping tabs etc) and some folks feel as though they don’t “belong” in the store.
If you want to understand how the cost is justified look at how they’re made.
Not all things are worth what they cost BUT things that are truly made with craftsmanship and particular skill in addition to retaining and even gaining value ARE worth it.

Dude, I decided like a crazy person to paint my ENITRE house alone. Talk about ambitious! My accent wall in my living room is navy blue. That shit took forever. I feel your pain!
NachoMama same!! I figured I’d do it late night/early morning, so the kids wouldn’t be in the way. Two triple shot cappuccinos later and one light grey and navy room later
So next time you paint a wall dark colours use gray primer. Will make your darker colors pop and make it so much easier
Fun fact: that hanging metal constellation decoration in the Wizarding World she points at (at 3:26) was made with scrap metal from the Jaws ride that was in its spot before they built Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando

John Francis Doe yeah they removed it years ago because Universal Orlando is a very small property so they had to make space for the addition of Diagonal Alley, I could be wrong but I think they still have the Jaws ride in the Hollywood location though

This would be perfect decor for a unisex nursery
I've done the ceiling for my kids like this when they were little. It took forever with glow in the dark stars. But they loved looking at it when the went to bed. They had a night sky room. Well worth it. Seeing you do this took me back.
Oh Corrine, this room is so amazing. You worked so hard on it but it was so worth it, I love the scarf under perspex, the ceiling and the malachite coloured wallpaper. The shelf display and gold leaf are 😍.

@@aine3523 A couple of ways it could work, all at Corinne's discression of course!
1. Do a poll of 4 different Pins, have the community vote for the one they want to try. Corinne gives us a deadline to create said pin and send a photo/video in to her. Her and, god forbid, Rob, choose their favorites.
2. Corinne shows a Pin she's going to try and asks who wants to try it with her. She chooses her opponent(s) via the comments or something. The opponent(s) films themselves and sends the video to Corinne.
3. #2, but instead of sending a video in, it is a 30 minute challenge filmed live with Skype or something.

Painting a room:
Preparing everything to paint - 3 days
Actually painting it - 1hr
Accurate and how it should be. You can slap anything on but if you want it to last you need to be sure there is only the things you want between the paint and the wall. So wash, dry, fill, sand and dust my dude. Often the first things I have to do with my customers is to tell them to slow down. New Zealand paint cost about $100 to $180 dollars for just 40m2 of paint. Not sure what the states prices are like but you don't want that stuff falling off any earlier than it should.
Neko Cub art games Agreed. I’m not a professional, but I’ve painted quite a few rooms. It amazes me how sloppy quite a few paint jobs are. Some even by so called professionals. My philosophy is that since I’m putting the job in anyways, why not make it proper. It’s not THAT much fun that I wanna do it next year again due to not having done it right.
Not sure about paint costs in the US, but they are quite similar to the NZ costs here in Sweden as well. It’s not exactly a cheap thing to do, no. BUT THE GRATIFICATION WHEN IT’S FINALLY FINISHED?! PRICELESS! 😍
