@@andermic011 *It's a pain reliever that makes most people so goofy in the head that they do NOT feel the pain!! We do not have it in the USA, but we should!!!*
Actually I had it in a shot two in fact I felt nothing( I was getting a mole removal)
And I remember I think his name was jethro could be wrong but he had a dislocated shoulder and the lifeguards had to use the whistle on him and he said the goofiest things and there is one thing he said that I remember, he said “parramatta eel”.
I’ve only popped a rib (it popped back in place almost immediately) and that pain was bad enough! I can’t imagine the pain of two broken ribs and piercing a lung. Poor Yatsey!!

I love this channel. When i was sick, I was throwing up. I watched them. I watched them throughout the last few years, even when i am stuck and ill.

I was a lifeguard for 8 years. If something like Yates' accident happened here because members of the public were allowed to play with our equipment, heads would have rolled. I love how relaxed people seem to be in Australia. It often feels like we're all bundled up in about 25 layers of bubble wrap here. Saftey is great and all and tragic accidents are horrible, but when we're forced to eliminate every concievable risk at all times, it really sucks the fun out of life.
The public probably normally aren't allowed to use their stuff. But this was filming a cross promotion for a famous sports team on a popular TV show, so the rules are different. I am sure management knew about it and forms had been signed.
My dad has that same personality where pain really doesn't bother him very much. He had a herniated disk in his back for months (doctors didn't believe his pain was that bad because he's a tank of a man and barely showed it) and I'd never seen him show any pain before. It had to be surgically fixed. It is very unsettling to see someone with that pain tolerance showing any signs that they're in pain.

Mine was splitting my head open when I was 2. I still have a scar on my head!😅

Broken arm
mine was when I punctured a hole in my head when a kid pushed me into the corner of a table and I slipped on a plastic tub by the table. 😅
I fell off a deuce & a half and broke my neck. I will never fully recover from it, but I can at least walk and breathe on my own. The pain from nerve injuries is unbelievable, and it can last for a very long time - if not for the rest of your life.
Great respect for these guys and what they do!

Also 17:54 your so lucky I’ve never seen a dolphin in the water of the ocean but my family has( it’s not the same thing as seeing a dolphin that does tricks and stuff because they are taught but it is still super cool. 😎

That sounds so painful! Must've been one heck of a chest infection! How long did it take for you to recover? 😥
@@BondiRescue the chest infection cleared up, but it took about three weeks for my rib to heal. It is the one and only chest infection I ever had 👍🏼
Whenever I see dolphins I always think about the tragic story of Peter the dolphin who was raised in a lab, and committed suicide after the human women he built a physical(yes, physical) relationship with was let go and the program was ended.

@@cathynoullett7971She is. It was a woman named Margaret Howe Lovatt. In the 60s she was part of a NASA funded project to try and teach a dolphin named Peter to understand and mimic human speech and she formed a very close bondcwith him.. The project was also testing the effects of LSD which was also tested on other subject dolphins. Neither area of research produced any results and all funding was cut.
After that, the dolphins were moved to another smaller site and put into smaller tanks with less natural sunlight. Peter quickly deteriorated and effectively committed suicide.
According to a Dolphin activist called Ric O'Barry, "Dolphins are not automatic air-breathers like we are... Every breath is a conscious effort. If life becomes too unbearable, the dolphins just take a breath and they sink to the bottom. They don't take the next breath."

I talked to Mum and she said we might go back to Sydney when the Coast Harbour Highway is finished for swimming. We don’t know if it’s finished this year or next year.
12:55 its a traumatic pneumothorax. I've had 3 spontaneous pneumothorax's, they aren't fun at all.

Can I just say from experiance... You never always know if you have a broken nose! It's not till you get older and find it harder to breath, it bleeds a lot and you get infections all the time affecting the nose, gums, face, teeth and ears. Then you go for a Septoplasty... and instead of being a 30 min Op... turns into 1 hour and 30 mins! As it's worse inside than it looked outside! I had a badly devaited septum... with some bone growth... and ended up with a hole in the skin of my nose after the Op and it's really annoying! (It went a bit wrong with the stitches healing... and I had no follow up app... I was worried and went to my GP). Still got the hole... still bugs me... I would need another Op, but I felt so down after the first one... IDK if I can go through a skin graph Op. : /
