HE did a RESCUE with an ear infection?? Dude, respect!. Those really hurt and if you get it really bad (like Jethro) the whole world is rocking, your balance is absolutely gone.
Hell yeah, I remember my last ear infection. It's one of the few times I went to hospital willingly. Unbearable pain.
I get swimmers ear all the time when I've been in the water. They are very very painful and exhausting.
I used to get them a lot when I was little. The worst one I had I ignored it for a long time and one day I just fell over and couldn’t get up. Huge respect to him for that.

Jethro was so cute when he locked himself in the tower he was only trying to clean up and then he messed up 😂😂😂
But man why did he already unsecure the door when he wasn't done in there. But anyway it remembers me to myselfe when I locked myselfe in a refrigerator trailer cuz the stairs were to far in one direction and the handrail then prevented the door from opening again. So it was kind like a deja vu just with the wrong person in the wrong country caught in the wrong thing. Plus I didn't had a mobile phone or anything to comunicate to my people. Happily we got a beverage delivery and when the guy came, I opened the door as far as possible and was like "Excuse me, could you help me, the door is stuck" and he was iritated, cuz he didn't know where the voice came from. Finally he helped me get out with a big grin and my workmates where laughing when I told them. :D

Considering he ran into the ocean, swam out, rescued the girl, got her back to shore & was very sure she was ok before collapsing from the pain & nausea caused by the ear.
Yeah that sounds like the perfect lifeguard to me.

Earaches can be incredibly painful, and dangerous long term. I hope he got some real treatment.

Peoples mistakes usually are like "i tripped over the sidewalk" Jethro's mistakes "oh yea i had a severe infection and still managed to do a rescue" or "i dislocated my shoulder so bad i had to go thru anesthesia to put it back" i mean that's f*ing badass lol

Doesn’t everyone need anaesthesia to set a dislocated shoulder unless they have a really high pain tolerance? I would assume the majority would need pain relief.
@@rachelcookie321 Anaesthesia knocks you out. Normally local numbing or some morphine for pain will do the trick. He probably had to go completely out so he wasn't tensed up and could pop it back in.

@@anniekissinger6383 I mean last time I had a boss I was friendly and cool with I was also a manager. There were times something would happen and Id call laughing at the absurdity or just bad luck of it all. Wouldn't tell my boss til he got to the site or unless he asked specifically what happened. No need in making his drive and trip more stressful or angry. Once a month one of ur garage doors would be out of service due to someone trying to drive a truck through it. No matter how many signs and lights and trainings we did at the end of a 16 hour shift people are tired and dont pay attention. Got to the point the repairman was on speed dial and I would just make an appointment that we would cancel if our in-house guy could fix it easily.
It’s honestly hard to see Jethro in pain :(

There’s a animal sanctuary by me and they needed a name for a baby giraffe. The public submitted names for the names, I put in Jethro. Reason being baby giraffes are clumsy, like jethro 😂, and the giraffes name is Jethro!

There was a baby camel at the Milwaukee county zoo named Jethro, no giraffes at any zoo or animal sanctuary. Giraffes face high risk of extinction and therefore all sanctioned births must be reported to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. One quick google search to find out you’re full of shit. :)

i really feel his pain on the whole ear infection thing...i had an ear infection and ruptured my eardrum at a swim meet...i’ll never understand how he was able to do a rescue like that
Burst eardrums are the worst. I had to have surgery because my eardrum stopped repairing itself after so many times and I can’t go swimming again in my life now because it could risk me going deaf if I get water in my ears.
I get ear infections all the time and I'm allergic to the antibiotics so I just have to wait it out and I littereally cant move my head when I get one so when i first watched it i was like woah that takes a lot to even get up
I've had ear infections before never ruptured and they hurt like hell props to him for going to a rescue in that kind of pain
somehow i've been a swimmer for my entire life but i don't remember getting an ear infection. also why wait 5 hours at a meet just to swim 5 events like

Guess Jethro is the most chaotic lifeguard of them all. They probably will never Kick him out even if he would be bad in his job cuz he always takes care of the mood of the team. If you think you've seen everything the trainees will come up with something new and Jethro manages things that no trainee manages. 😂😂 amazing how he can be that good in his job while destroying the things around and in him 😂

Ear Infections can get so bad and when your in the water etc it’s not fun, I was a swimming teacher, had to teach with ear infections and you just wanna vomit etc also Jethro on the green whistle was hilarious

Ear infections, especially when it's bad, will mess with your balance, make you feel dizzy and stuff, headaches maybe, and yet Jethro did a rescue despite all that.
