    On the larger surfaced shapes (like the large dits), yiu could use a floral or scroll rubber stamp to remove paint, leaving a pattern before printing.

    I’ve been using cardboard for the backing. How does that sticky side work once you put your stencils down on it? Do they last longer because they are foam on foam?

    • @catrains.artist
      @catrains.artist  3 дні тому

      Cardboard is fine as a backing, however because it is paper and could get wet as you use the stamp, the paper backing might not be as stable. Using foam on foam, or plastic on plastic means the stamps will hold up longer.

    I am also interested in card making/rubber stamping. I have cut images out of the kids foam using my dies and made stamps as well. My favoriate are the hand cut organic shapes like you made.

    Thank you , this was great.. your demonstration of how to make the stamps was easy to follow.. now I have something new to add to my bag of goodies and I have been looking for a way to make new patterns... My only issues is the sound and motion were out of sync.. Otherwise... it was great!

      So glad that you found this technique useful to you. Unfortunately I had an issue with Instagram last year where my voice and video did not sync, and this demo was from that period of time. Thanks for watchin it anyways!

    How long does the cut foam last? Is it washable? Thank you for another great idea.

    • @catrains.artist
      @catrains.artist  10 місяців тому

      It is washable, and holds up a long time. I've had mine a couple years and it stills is useable.

    This was a terrific demo. The papers are wonderful. I have some non-adhesive foam sheets. I wonder what kind of glue I could use for them. Maybe someone here has experience to share?

    • @catrains.artist
      @catrains.artist  Рік тому +1

      You could use a spray adhesive, or glue down with a medium or gel medium. Yes paste would probably work too.

      I Fabrifix (sewing product). It adheres nearly all surfaces together. I glue my fun foam cut outs onto rigid cardboard.

    • @susansieber6189

      hot glue works-being careful and carpet tape/strong double sided works.

    • @catrains.artist

      As much as is easy to do. However, I have lots of caked on paint on these stamps and it doesn't affect the next time I use them.
